I moved back to college on Sunday so it was a bit hectic, sorry about not updating.  Here's this weeks update. Enjoy 😊

Keira's POV:

As Diane left with Elleã and Narla, I made my way into the kitchen to grab a drink of water before heading into the sitting room where Lucy had sat down with Charlie beside her. I sat down on the other side of Charlie, and watched as she looked in between us apprehensively.

"So, after Trafalgar Square, I got a text saying that Gillian and Martin have been approved a court date", Lucy spoke clearly and straight to the point.  Charlie immediately started tearing up, I wrapped my arm around her and pressed a kiss to her head.  "I've a meeting with my lawyer tomorrow, and we're going to get everything in order to make sure you stay right here where you belong", Lucy continued.  Charlie didn't say anything until now "when ?", she whispered.  Lucy quickly replied "next Tuesday".  Charlie hiccuped and started sobbing.  Lucy swept her into her lap, trying to comfort her.  "I can tell you now, me and Kei are doing everything we can to keep you here and we will fight every battle that comes our way, I promise, we love you so much", Lucy softly told Charlie as I leaned closer and wiped her tears away gently.  Charlie grabbed my hand and held it close to her chest, clearly wanting me and Lucy close to her.  Her sobs slowly faded, with a few stray tears but we remained in the same position.  Me and Lucy closely watching Charlie, but also giving her the time to settle.  "Can I sleep with you tonight Mum ?", Charlie whispered, gaining nods from me and Lucy before I replied softly "of course you can Blue".  Charlie sniffled and held my hand tighter.  The nickname seemed to be remembered by Charlie as she slowly lifted her head up and looked at me and said "I miss that name".  I smiled and replied "I'll be sure to call you it again".  Charlie smiled a small smile and then leaned back against Lucy's chest.  "Do you think we should have a takeaway ?", Lucy spoke up, gaining a firm nod from Charlie and a quiet "definitely".  Lucy and I both chuckled softly and I reached out for the tv remote and flicked through Netflix before hitting play on Friends.  All 3 of us settled into the couch.

The moment reminded me back to when it was only 3 of us.  Especially when I had just moved in and Charlie insisted that every night we all sit down and watch tv as a family for at least 30mins, a tradition we had continued with Elleã too, but mostly it would be after Elleã had been put down for the night and me and Lucy would let Charlie stay up and watch something with us, making sure she felt included in the family, despite her little sister needing a bit extra help.

I pulled up our favourite takeaway, and gently passed the phone to Charlie, letting her pick whatever she wanted, before she passed it back to me. Lucy filled in what she wanted, and I added my order, and a little something for Elleã, before looking at Lucy. "What'll we order your Mum ?", I asked Lucy, who reached out for the phone again, before handing it back to me, allowing me to complete the order. Just as I put my phone down to focus on the tv, the doorbell rang. Charlie groaned and I looked at her curiously. "Ellie's very energetic these days Mum", Charlie replied quietly. I chuckled as I stood up and ruffled Charlie's hair "that she is", I replied as I left the room to open the door. Once I opened the door I was met with Diane unleashing Narla, who raced up the steps, past me and into the sitting room, presumably to greet Lucy and Charlie. Diane stood up when I opened the door and sent a smile. I peeked into the stroller to see Elleã grinning up at me "Mama", Elleã shrieked with a giggle. I smiled and unbuckled her and lifted her out "Hi baby girl". Diane smiled as she pushed the stroller up the steps and into the house, me following behind with Elleã in my arms. "What did you do on your walk princess ?", I asked her as I walked in the door. "Mama Narly", Elleã replied confident I understood what she meant. "Lovely", I replied, as I locked the front door. I had a minor idea of what she meant but I'd have to ask Diane what happened on the walk. I headed into the sitting room where I was met with Charlie playing tug-of-war with Narla, while Lucy and Diane were stood chatting in the middle of the room.

"Mumma play", Elleã mumbled. "You wanna play with Mumma ?", I asked, gaining Lucy's attention. Elleã nodded and I gently let her down, and watched as she raced over to her toy box, pulling out her animal puzzle and dragging it over to Lucy. Diane and I chuckled, and sat down on the couch. I watched as Lucy sat down cross-legged on the floor and sat Elleã down in her lap in front of her. Lucy pulled the puzzle in front of them both and pulled out the animals from their slots in he puzzle, mixing them up and then handing the cow to Elleã and asking "what's this ?". Elleã took the puzzle piece and muttered "cow". Lucy quietly clapped and watched as Elleã put it in the slot for the cow. "And this ?", Lucy asked holding up the elephant . "Elant", Elleã muttered slotting it in the right slot. "It's an elephant, ellie-phant", Lucy explained, listening as Elleã tried to pronounce it right "Elliehant", before picking up the next piece, clearly finished trying to say the word elephant.

Diane and I chatted between ourselves. "What's the plan for the next few days ?", Diane asked me quietly. "I'm taking Charlie on a shopping day tomorrow, while Luce looks after Ellie, we're mainly getting ready for court and Luce to go to Barca, we'll have a lot of media I think in the next few days, so whatever happens we'll be busy", I replied. Diane nodded and replied "if you need anything I'm only a text away", just as the doorbell rang, our takeaway had arrived. I thanked her as I collected our takeaway, gaining Charlie's attention as she scrambled from the floor and following me into the kitchen. Elleã remained quite content to continue her puzzle with Lucy. I fished up the dinners with Diane's help and placed Charlie's plate in front of her with a kiss on her head, before I headed into the sitting room to get Lucy and Elleã.

As I stood in the doorway, I watched as Elleã handed a puzzle piece to Lucy muttering "mumma do kitty". Lucy chuckled and replied "mumma do the cat ?". Elleã nodded and Lucy slotted the cat piece into the wrong slot. Elleã giggled and picked it up "no mumma kitty, not eep". Lucy chuckled and put the cat puzzle piece in the right slot, before glancing up at me, while she stood up with Elleã in her arms. "Look, Mama is here", Lucy pointed at me. Elleã looked over at me and giggled. "Mumma silly", Elleã giggled again as Lucy approached me. "I know that princess, Mummy is very silly", I replied, grinning at Luce who frowned at my comment. We walked back into the kitchen to see Charlie and Diane in full conversation, clearly not noticing us missing from the table. It was only when Lucy lifted Elleã into her high chair, that they turned to look at us. "Hi Ellie", Charlie chirped, causing Ellie to clap her hands. I watched from my spot at the kitchen counter, cutting up Elleã's dinner into bite-sized pieces, making it easier for her to eat. Lucy sat down beside Elleã and strapped her into her high chair. I passed the plate to Lucy, who put it on Elleã's tray table as I sat down beside Charlie. "Wanna taste some of mine ?", I asked Charlie who shook her head, turning her nose up at my dinner. "Why not ?", I asked curiously. "It looks gross", Charlie explained simply as she continued to eat hers. Diane and Lucy chuckled at her reply. These were the moments I loved, the people I loved sat down eating dinner like nothing was wrong, this sense of normality is what I was going to hold onto for the next while.
