Lucy's POV:
After the Spain game, it seemed like there was something in the air, like we could see how close we were to winning the tournament. The next day was recovery day. I headed to the recovery room with Alex and Demi. I hear Charlie yell down the hallway. "Mummmm !!!", Charlie yelled. I turn around and she comes racing down the hallway. Charlie stops right in front of me, almost taking me out. "What's wrong ?", I ask chuckling and telling Alex and Demi to head on into the recovery room. "Keira needs you, it's Ellie", Charlie spills out, still trying to catch her breath. I instantly stop chuckling and go into serious mode. "Where are they ?", I quickly ask. Charlie grabs my hand and starts leading me towards our room, where I could hear Ellie's screams and cries. I quickly open the door and see Keira cradling Ellie in her arms, trying to calm her, but it doesn't look to be working. I rush over and Keira sighs with relief. "What happened ?", I ask, loud enough for Keira to hear over the screaming. "I put her down for a nap, because she was cranky and she woke up screaming and crying for you, she must've had a bad dream again", Keira explains. I reach my hands out, and Keira gently passes Ellie to me. Ellie clings to me, and Keira runs over to grab the dummy. She pops it in Ellie's mouth, and Ellie instantly stops screaming. She clings to me, and nestles her head in the crook of my neck.
Keira sits down on the edge of the bed and Charlie heads over to her and plonks herself down next to Keira. I stand in front of them, swaying with Ellie in my arms, patting her back gently, almost trying to lull her to sleep. Keira looks up at me and asks "have you been to recovery yet ?", I shake my head and Keira nods. "Let's go", she adds, standing up and nudging Charlie who was playing a game on Keira's phone. Charlie looks up and opens the door. I head out, while Keira grabs Ellie's blanket. She comes out holding the blanket and we close the door behind us.
We slowly make our way to the recovery room. Keira looks at me and asks "what you going to do first ?". "I'll start in the ice", I reply. Keira nods and we head to the ice baths. At the ice baths were Leah, Lessi, Tooney and Hannah. Keira carefully gets into the ice bath and then looks over at me and holds out her hand. With one arm holding Ellie in my arms, I take Keira's outstretched hand and carefully get into the ice bath. Keira asks Charlie to hold Ellie's blanket, and Charlie reaches over to take the blanket and then sits on the bench beside the ice baths and plays a game on Keira's phone. I carefully stand in the ice bath, with Ellie in my arms, making sure her feet don't touch the water. I look to Hannah beside me and ask her "can you see if she's asleep", looking at Ellie, without moving my head. Hannah leans downs and then stands back up. "No, she's awake", I thank her and then reach my other hand up and comb my fingers through Ellie's hair. Leah carefully comes over and stands next to me and turns to me "what's up with Effie ?". I sigh and then reply "she had a bad dream in her nap, and woke up screaming for me", Leah sighs and looks down at Ellie. I briefly move my head to have a look at Ellie, but Ellie immediately moved to hide her face in my chest. Leah and I chuckle slightly at Ellie's behaviour, before I move my head back and press gentle kisses to her head. Ellie moved her head back into the crook of my neck and grabs the top of my sports bra. After another 10 minutes or so of chatting, we start getting out, with Keira helping me out. We head to the gym to continue our recovery. I do all of my recovery with Ellie still in my arms. After our recovery session, it's time for Keira and Leah to head to their Lionesses Live episode. Georgia, Charlie and I decided we'd sit in the audience.
As we head to the Lionesses Live set up, I ask Charlie to hand me Ellie's blanket. I place it over Ellie and place another kiss to her head. Once we sit on the beanbags and await the start of the show, Charlie turns to me and says "Mum", I turn to her and look at her to continue. "Uhm I was just wondering if you had heard anything new about the case thing ?", Charlie asks nervously, not looking at me. Georgia who was sat beside on the other side of Charlie pulled her into a short hug, before letting me speak. "Well, they asked for another meet, but I said no, and the judge agreed, based off the last meet, that now wasn't the time, so for now, nothing is going to happen, until at least after the Euros", I replied. Charlie softly smiled and nodded her head, before looking up at me and leaning into my side. I leaned over and placed a kiss to the top of her head.
Leah and Keira's episode of Lionesses Live went well, with lots of laughter and story telling, and inclusion of me and Georgia's comments. Once the episode was over Keira came over and looked to check on Ellie. She looked up at me and asked "did she sleep ?", I shook my head and Keira sighed slightly. I turned to Charlie, who grinned up at Keira and asked "can we have a movie night tonight ?". Keira and I grinned and nodded. Charlie cheered and went over to Leah and G and we both heard her ask "do you guys wanna join our movie night tonight ?". Leah and G both looked over at us to confirm if it was okay and, me and Keira both nodded, indicating it was more than ok.
All 5 of us headed back to the hotel to grab an early dinner, with not many other girls being there. I sat down with my dinner in front of me and a small plate for Ellie. I shifted her slightly so that I could see her and leaned down and quietly said "will you eat something for Mumma ?". Ellie shook her head and cuddled back into my chest. I looked to Keira next to me and shook my head, telling her Ellie didn't want to eat anything. Keira leaned over and whispered to Ellie "if you eat something, mama will give you lots of snuggles", I smiled, indicating to Ellie that Keira would do just that. Ellie looked over at Keira and nodded her head gently. I reached over and picked up a chicken nugget, and handed it to Ellie, who started nibbling at it. Me and Keira smiled, both of us thankful she was eating something.
Charlie then leaned over to Keira and I, from her spot on the other side of Keira and asked "if I eat my dinner, do I get cuddles ?". Keira and I chuckled at her question and I replied "if you eat every single piece, including the vegetables, I'll give ya a cuddle". Charlie looked at her plate and then back at me and asked "every vegetable ?", with a face of slight disgust. I nodded and added "every single vegetable, and if I spot you trying to slip some of your veg onto G's plate, I won't even let you come near me for a cuddle". Charlie sighed and then agreed to the deal. I reached my hand out and we both shook on the deal. I gave another chicken nugget to Ellie and began eating my dinner.
After dinner, we all headed back upstairs, and Leah and G briefly headed into their room to change. They then joined us in our room and Charlie got into her pjs, while Keira had gone down to make Ellie a bottle. I gently coaxed Ellie to let me change her into her pjs. Once I had changed Ellie and managed to change into comfier clothes, Keira came in. Leah, G and Charlie settled onto Charlie and Ellie's bed, while I got into my bed. Keira went into the bathroom to change, and Leah, G and Charlie bickered over what movie we were gonna watch, until they all agreed to watch 'Nanny McPhee'. Keira came out of the bathroom, in shorts and a sports bra. She got into the bed beside me and gently took Ellie from my arms, and settled her in her arms, and then gave the bottle to Ellie, holding it up for her. I shuffled closer to Keira and fixed the duvet, as we all watched the movie.
At the end of the movie, Leah and G, both said their good nights and once they had left Charlie got out of her bed, and hopped onto ours. She shuffled her way into my arms and nestled closer. "Technically you broke our deal, because I spotted you slipping some of your veg onto Keira's plate during dinner", I muttered. Charlie chuckled and wrapped her arms tightly around my waist, "well technically you said G's plate not Kei's, so I figured it was fine and courgette is just gross". Both Keira and I chuckled, and I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, and leaned down and said "well next time I'll make sure to be clearer". Charlie nodded and cuddled back into my chest as I placed a kiss into her hair. I looked over to check on Ellie who was still drinking from her bottle. Keira pressed play on another movie and we all continued watching the tv, all nestled together in the bed.
