CHAPTER 30

Previously on "A Small Talk?"
Previously we saw that everything was going good between Darshan and Y/N but fate had some other plans and they ended up getting troubled by Maya again. But that isn't surprising, there's more to come... Let's see...

Moving On...

*Darshan hears someone banging at the door badly*

"Who's here at midnight?" Darshan questions in a shocked tone.

"I- I don't know..." Y/N says hesitatingly.

"Wait I'll check..." Darshan says as he gets up from the bed

*Darshan starts heading towards the main gate*

"But wait... Don't open the door... Just try to see through the peak hole." Y/N whispers in fear.

*Darshan nods in yes and gets close to the main door*

*Darshan closely looks through the peak hole*

*There was no one*

*The banging continues. Almost sounding like the door will break*

"What the... Fuck..." Darshan whispers loudly.

*Y/N watches Darshan in silence as fear is already coursing through her veins*

"Wh- what's wrong..." Y/N whispers with her broken voice near Darshan's shoulder as the banging continues.

"There is no one outside." All of a sudden Darshan's tone fell cold.

*Y/N's eyes widens*

"But then who is banging... The door...? That can't be a child.... As far as I can see..." There was a lot of questions and curiosity running through Darshan's mind with a pinch of fear.

*Darshan immediately places his hand on the door knob to open it*

*Y/N grabs Darshan's hand and asks him to not to open the door because there is something very wrong going on in the very moment*

"Who's there?" Darshan says with a loud cold tone.

*Silence fell into both of their ears*

*That was the loudest silence they've ever heard.*

*The silence made everything sound so clearly loud that Y/N's heavy breathing started making Darshan anxious*

*Darshan was about to open the door again when someone slid an envelope through the bottom space of the door*

*Darshan stood there thinking what possibly it could be*

*Silence again made things feel uneasy when a sound of someone walking away from the door made Y/N realise something*

"Darsh-"

*Darshan interrupts*

"This is Maya..." Darshan says.

"Yes..." Y/N replies.

"The footsteps sounded like someone wearing heels was walking. It is Maya." Darshan exhales.

*Darshan picks up the envelope and opens it*

THE LETTER SAID:

Dear, Darshan.
I know you and Y/N are pretty frightened but happy at the same time.
Frightened by the fact that your reputation is gone. But happy by the fact that you will bring your reputation back by proving that the kiss and the entire thing is fake and AI generated... That's what you're thinking, right?
