"They confessed. We managed to get their records of the people involved."

Wriothesley stood in the corner of his office, watching the water boil. A Garde was behind him, explaining the situation.

Wriothesley's tone hadn't changed for the entire day. He spoke cold and menacingly, which is something that frightened others.

"Give me a list of all the names." Turning off the steamer, he poured the water into his tea cup.

"Understood." The Garde saluted and exited.

Wriothesley slowly sipped on the hot liquid. In fact, he didn't even bother placing the tea bag inside.

He just needed a good distraction for now.

The past two days had taken a toll on his health. He refused to sleep or eat, despite Sigewinne's pleads. Because of this, it felt like to him he was a child again, when he realized what had happened to his siblings.

Placing down the cup, he took a deep, shaky breath. Your release day was soon, and Wriothesley dreaded every single moment of it.

But your answer was clear to him. He found that, in his heart, you didn't want to be with him.

However, there was something else telling him that maybe, maybe...

"Your Grace?"

He hadn't realized that someone was knocking on his door and had entered. Looking over his shoulder, he glanced at Avice's worried face.

"...What?" He asked in a cold manner.

"I'm sorry to come to you like this, but... is Y/N here?"

Wriothesley's muscles froze. He turned around, facing Avice.

"...What makes you think she's here?"

Avice shivered from his tone. "W-Well... she tends to frequent your office... I've seen her come in a lot and the two of you are fairly close..."

"She's not here. Check the Pankration Ring." He replied, turning back around.

Avice shook her head. "She's not there..."

"Her room, then."

"I checked..."

"...The infirmary."

"No..."

"...The cafeteria?"

"Not there either..."

Wriothesley stared down at his empty cup. "...I don't know where she is, then."

"Oh, well... sorry to waste your time then. I'll be going—"

"—Wait."

Wriothesley turned back around and stepped closer to Avice.

"Um... yes?" She looked up at him with nervous eyes.

"Has she... ever said anything about me?"

Avice blinked. "Ah, she has..."

"Tell me."

Her voice cracked as she spoke. "Um... she really only told me, forgive me for saying this... how arrogant you are."

Wriothesley's breath hitched. "...I see."

"But she said your arrogance makes you attractive."

He looked at Avice with wide eyes. His gaze had softened, along with his body.
