WHAT'S THE HARDEST THING TO OVERCOME AS A WRITER?

_______________________________________________________

As Victoria gets ready for her night out with Samuel, Isabella and Damian have another plan set in their minds. "So," Damian takes a sip of his cigarette as he sits down on his front porch with Samuel, "what's your plan?" He blows out.

Samuel was gazing into the sky, wondering about whatever it is a suspected murderer wonders about, "Leave that to me," Samuel says without turning to look at Damian, "you asked me to kill her, so let me figure that out." He gets up and flicks his cigarette away, but Damian gets up and walks with him to his car. "Hey," He grabs Samuel by the shoulder and turns Samuel to face him, "you need to get this done." He pats him on the shoulder and lets him go.

Samuel gets into his car and drives to Victoria's house wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants. His hair a mess and beard untrimmed, he got into his Chevrolet Camaro and made his way to the queen's lair.

"Victoria," Samuel beeps, "come out princess!" He beeps some more. As Victoria makes her way out of the house and into Samuel's car, he forgets all about hurting her. The moment he saw her wearing those green pants and that tight white crop top, he immediately felt something in his stomach, a feeling he couldn't quite keep down, and all he could do was simply smile. "Aren't you going to open the door for me?" Victoria says as she leans onto his side of the window. "Oh yes," He gets out of his car and makes his way to the other side of the car, "here you go my queen." He bows down and opens the door. Victoria laughs at his gesture and gets in.

"You know you don't actually have to treat me like a queen," She puts on her seatbelt, "it's actually annoying."

"What's annoying?" He asks as he puts on his seatbelt, "You know," Victoria says, "being treated like someone you're not." Silence took over for a moment while Samuel was putting the location on his phone, "The queen has a story she would like to share?" He asks sarcastically, "It's still day two pretty boy," She giggles, "there's so much you're yet to know about me."

Samuel accelerates and turns to look at Victoria, grasping every detail about her. At that moment he forgets the main purpose of this visit. He forgets about his deal with the devil. He forgets about the video. He forgets about it all. "Maybe I want to know everything about you," He smiles, "a part of me is telling me that I might fall in love with the queen herself." Victoria was mesmerized by Samuel's words; no one has ever fallen in love with her. Unless you want to consider what Damian was feeling love, but if you love someone you don't fuck your step-sister. "I highly doubt that," She looks down, "once you know who I am, I mean."

Samuel looks at her but says nothing at all, "Here you go," He hands her his phone to play some music, "let's start by knowing who you listen to."

Victoria played Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, "Do you know this?" She hands the phone back to him, "Ofcourse I do," Samuel gets excited, "it's such a nostalgic song!" He adds as he sings along to the lyrics. Victoria wanders off into Samuels eyes as he sings and drives, she could feel herself getting more comfortable with him, and that grew concern in her body because Samuel was still a stranger after all. A stranger that could easily be lying about his identity and his past, and that sort of feeling is a feeling the queen so desperately hates, but yet craves.

"We have arrived m'lady," Samuel turns off the car and gets his things ready. Victoria tries to open the door, but it gets slammed shut, only for it to be opened again by Samuel this time. "For future notice, love," He holds her hand gently and escorts her out of the car, "you never open your own doors."

Victoria's face turns red and smiles widely, "You know," She says as she picks up her bag, "I think I could fall in love with you too." Little did Victoria know that all of this is a part of Samuel Riverton's murder scheme. The classic victim of love where you make the girl fall in love with you only to kill her. It's smart, some might say, if you publicly show people that she is your girlfriend. Suspicion will decrease, and you won't be a big suspect in the case. Just show people how sad you are and how her death broke you. But will the tears of Samuel Riverton be tears of sadness, or joy?

The cute couple set up their tent in one of Rivervine's highest mountains. Serenity Peak was where all teenagers go to do their homework on weekends, and by homework they mean having sex and doing drugs all night long. But today being a school day I doubt there will be anyone, at least anyone close enough to notice Victoria being viciously murdered. "So," Samuel says as he pulls out a cigarette, "how was your day today?" He lights it. Victoria never answered his question and just expressionlessly looked at him. "I'm sorry," Samuel pulls out his cigarette pack, "want one love?" He passes it to her. "Why do you smoke?" She pushed his cigarette pack back to him, "Oh you're one of those girls," Samuel giggles, "you hate smokers?"

"Not necessarily," Victoria shrugs, "I just asked why do you smoke." She picks up her phone and starts tapping away, "Tell me your story," Samuel takes the phone from her hand and puts it down next to his, "and I will answer that question." Victoria looks at him, "What story?" She asks, "Why do you hate smokers?"

"Well," She takes a deep breath, "I've just had bad experiences with people who smoke, that's all."

"There's more to the story than that love," Samuel says, "I'm sure of that." he adds, but Victoria takes her time to think.

"I had an abusive ex-boyfriend that smoked."

"Damian?" Samuel asks, but notices that Victoria is starting to wander off. "Yes," She hugs her knees and looks at the mountains far away. "he only found comfort in hurting me, and if I don't do what he asks he would threaten to tell my secrets." She sniffs. Samuel pulls Victoria closer to him and flicks his cigarette away, "Then I won't smoke." Victoria turns to look at him, "Why?" She asks between her tears, "Because I don't want you to think of me as an abusive man." Victoria wipes her tears, "Well I still want to know why you smoke."

"It makes me feel like I'm in control," He says, "smoking to me is more than nicotine or any chemical components. It's the fact that I get a step closer to death with every puff, but every puff kills a little bit of the pain inside of me so it seems like a fair deal."

"Why don't you just talk about your issues then?" Victoria asks as she holds his hand, "Because well," Samuel lets out a deep breath, "speaking about something doesn't mean that it's fixed... It simply means someone now knows about it and might use it against you in moments of anger, pain, regret, or self-defense." He turns to look at Victoria now, "And I simply can't be giving out more ammunition to people now, can I love?" Victoria leans in to kiss him, but Samuel pulls back for a second. He takes his time to look at her, from her soft lips, to her dark hair. He looks at her black mysterious eyes, and her devilish smirk. "I'm sorry—" Victoria tries, but Samuel leans closer, and kisses her back.

After a long kiss, a kiss that felt like heaven. Samuel backs up, "I need to tell you something," He says as he stares at Victoria's eyes while he gathers his thoughts, "It's about Damian."
