4 Months Until Victoria's Death...

His eyes teared up as he saw his angel rise from the dead once again. A girl so pure, so beautiful, but yet something was different about her. Her eyes didn't sparkle like they once did when they used to meet by the park in the city where he once lived. Her smile wasn't so bright that it lit up his world. He felt afraid when he looked at her, as if he had just seen the devil himself taking the form of a human being.

He looked down to see Victoria sobbing but he couldn't grasp the strength to go and grab her and hold her like he always wished he did. This was his moment for redemption, to go and hold Victoria in his arms and tell her it will all be okay, but he found himself frozen in his place, like the ground sucked him inside and took him to a place that was once forgotten. The vines of this mountain held his feet firmly and paralyzed him.

All Samuel could do was simply stare at Christina and be mesmerized by her appearance. A ghost, a demon taking the form of his dead beloved Christina. He found himself thinking about all the memories they made when they were kids. How they held hands down South Park and ran together, the wind welcoming them with its cold air and refreshing rain drops. He remembered how good he felt whenever she came around. How life simply stood still and all the clocks stopped ticking once he was greeted by Christina or her parents, her parents, he thought to himself. Oh how they cried when they found out she died at the hands of his devious father.

His shitty bastard father that took the life of the only thing that brought his son a sense of this so-called life. He went back to their arguments, and remembered how whenever they used to argue she used to bring a dice with two sides. Each side is engraved with one of their initials and once the dice lands on your initial it is your turn to speak and explain yourself. He used to laugh at her little ways of solving their arguments, and now she is standing there with her long hair and her diamond eyes, eyes that once brought balance to his imbalanced life.

"I missed you too." He whispered, but his eyes were firm on Victoria who was also looking back at him with fear drawn all over her face. He felt like he must make a choice between a girl he loved that he had buried deep in his wicked soul, and the girl that was crying on the floor in front of him.

He had two voices whispering in his ears, making his decisions and telling him what to do. One of the voices kept reminiscing about Christina and all the days they spent together, all the memories they made, all the plans they had for their lives. She tried shooting you. The voice said, trying to turn Samuel against Victoria and driving him to run into Christina's arms and hold her like he once did, but the other voice reminded him that it was him who was out to kill Victoria.

It was him who agreed to kill an innocent girl for a secret he was too worried about coming out. He drove Victoria to make these decisions that could've ended up with him dead. A bullet for a bullet. An eye for an eye. Samuel found himself running towards Victoria and past Christina, an act that shocked everyone, even himself.

He lifted Victoria from the ground and pulled her closer to his chest with his arm as he took the gun from beside her and pointed it straight at Christina, "Who the fuck are you!" He yelled, tears running down his face, "Why do you look like my dead ex-girlfriend!" Samuel was going crazy, he knew he was, because there was no chance that his beloved Christina was still alive. "I saw you die," He cried more, "I saw the bullet enter your chest and you collapsing–" But before he could continue he was interrupted, "But you never saw the body, or a funeral." Christina spits, trying to take him back from Victoria. Samuel didn't buy her lies, a part of him felt betrayed, why didn't she come look for me sooner? The voice lingering in his head said.

His tears overtook him and all he could see now was a blurry vision of Christina mixed with the mountain ground that was beneath her. He saw the trees on the mountain and the city lights, and finally he saw nothing but darkness.

"What happened?" Samuel says as he got up and looked around him. There were clothes scattered around everywhere, a bookshelf that held tons of used boxes that once held shoes, a shelf that had all types of papers and perfumes. The entire room was chaotic, but he still had no idea where he was.

"He's up." He hears Victoria saying as she runs towards the door, her voice unclear. "You fainted." She finally says to him as she hands him a cup of water with ice. "But how?" He gets up and takes a big gulp of water, "I don't know, to be honest, you simply collapsed on the floor and you've been asleep ever since. I'm sorry my room is a mess." Victoria shrugs. I didn't notice we were in Victoria's house until she mentioned that this was her room, and she was right — the room was an absolute mess. "Finally," Christina says as she walks into the room, "You've been asleep for nearly 20 hours." Samuel panics as he sees Christina once again, so it wasn't all just a dream. He turns to look at Victoria, but Victoria is as calm as ever. It was as if nothing had happened and everything that occurred was simply a bad dream — a nightmare.

Barely any words were exchanged between the three of them as they sat down at the dining table. Victoria's father was nowhere to be found when they got back home, but all the pieces of the broken glass were cleaned up, and the house was tidy.

"Victoria, I apologize for what happened." Samuel says, staring at the floor in shame as he starts to regain consciousness slowly and the memories of what had happened here come back, "And I'm sorry for your father." He adds. The room stayed silent and Victoria paid him no attention. It was clear to Samuel that the only reason he is here is because he fainted and not because Victoria forgave him, and that thought alone hurt him deep inside.

He turned to look at Christina, and he couldn't help but ask himself these questions that have no answers, a part of him still denied the fact that this is really her, and the other part knew it was but just didn't want to face the horrid truth.

"So," Christina says as she bats her eyes at Victoria, "what happened here for Samuel to apologize?" Victoria looked up at Christina in a wicked way. She didn't want to talk about it or think about it, but it is definitely better than whatever was going on between them right now.

"Your lovely boyfriend decided to beat the living shit out of my father after he plotted with my ex-boyfriend to kill me." She says. Samuel tries opening his mouth to reply, to justify himself, but Victoria gets off the table and walks away into the kitchen.

He got up to try to grab her but Christina held his hand and pulled him back down to the table, "He was threatening to rat me out!" He immediately yelled the answer before Christina even bothered asking him why. He knew her well enough to know what it is she wanted to say and when she would say it, after all, if this was the Christina he knew then she knows exactly what he was threatened with. "I understand Samuel." She taps his hand gently, "I understand." She repeats.

Victoria was eavesdropping in the kitchen and couldn't make up her mind on what it is he was threatened with, her thoughts went dark and nocturnal and she couldn't help but drop to her knees and cry. Her thoughts haunted her — her wicked thoughts. The thoughts that kept her up at night. The thoughts of all the lies she was fed by many people in her life. How her father lied to her about him going on business trips when all he was ever going to do was go fuck their neighbor. How her mother used to tell her she was fine and then ten minutes later she would find her sniffing drugs in their bathroom, "They are only medicine, baby." Her mom would tell her before she escorts her out of the bathroom. Victoria was sick of it, so sick of it. She got up and washed her face as she saw her reflection in the mirror near the stove, "I'm fine," She said to herself, "totally fucking fine."
