Samuel's POV
3 Months Until Victoria's Death...
I must admit that after the last interaction with her I didn't expect her to show her face in a place that I am in. Christina is braver than I remember. When we were younger she always relied on me to do everything because of how shy she felt. That time we went to the grocery store to buy a snack. She asked me to talk to the cashier instead of her because she didn't want to talk to humans. I always thought she was just trying to live the fantasy of the man being there for her because her father was never around, but I came to realize that she only wanted me to do everything because she was anxious all the time.
Seeing her brought back many bad memories, and with those memories came fear of the person she has become. Could it be that she no longer needed me? I was certain that she was working with someone, and deep down I didn't believe that she came and knocked at Victoria's door without some backup. Someone that told her to come and talk to us. I can't help but think about whether or not she knew I was going to be there. A part of me knows that wasn't planned. That she came in hopes it was only Victoria.
I left Victoria's house a couple of hours ago to go run some errands. We needed food and some things for the house, and only one of us has the guts to go rob a supermarket. After I arrived at the store and took some rice bags and some pasta without the cashier noticing, I went to the gas station, and that's when I saw him. His Lamborghini was parked right in front of me, and I dreaded the moment he left his car and waved at me with his ugly ass smile drawn across his wicked face.
"Funny seeing you here," Damian approached me as his car filled up with gas. I wanted to run him over and drive off, but I can't be thinking about these things now that I have a woman to look after. "What's so funny about that?" I turn to see him eyeing me, "My car doesn't run on blessings you idiot."
"I meant seeing you in Rivervine after you shot your own windshield." He justifies, "I mean what kind of moron shoots his own car?" I don't know if he genuinely thinks my bullet was aimed at my car. I mean, I tried shooting myself, but that was only after Christina stopped me from shooting him and getting this over with.
"You know I was trying to shoot you right?" I say, quickly remembering that he might have a recorder on him, but I could care less. This man is a man who belongs in a grave. A man who sleeps with his own sibling and says it's fine. I am a psychopath as many people say, but at least I would never sleep with my sister — if I had one.
The color on his face changed when he noticed my expression when I said the bullet belonged in his head. I am certain that he is an idiot. I mean that is the only explanation that makes sense when it comes to Damian. He is a fool, a person who lives behind his father's shadow and has no personality of his own. A man who was raised in a spoiled way and knows nothing about the chaos of the world and how cruel it can be.
He was raised with a golden fork placed in his mouth, and it just sucks that no one pushed that fork deep enough to scar his wretched heart. "Join us." I look at him, baffled, what does he mean by join us? Was he working with someone else? Did he just prove my point about Christina working with someone? And if so, why would she be working with someone like Damian?
"What on earth might that mean?" I clench my arm, waiting patiently for people to come out of his car and jump me. I could never be too sure with him around. I know that he is a weak clown, but weak clowns usually have many people to back them up. "I mean join us." He repeats himself, as if I am supposed to understand it if he emphasizes. "We are going to make a move on Victoria." I could feel the blood rise up to my head and rage consuming me. I wanted to kill him right there and then, but he carried on, "My intentions never changed since you came along Samuel. I wanted to kill her then, and I still want her dead now." He opens his arms, "So join us."
I don't know if this man knows that Victoria and I are living together. I don't know if Christina called him and informed him about what happened, but I can't help but still think that this man is nothing more than an idiot.
"I suggest you get into your car and drive away right this instant, Damian." I say, "Or what?" His giggle gets on my nerves. I think of the baseball bat I bought the other day, and I am this close to opening my trunk and bashing his face with it. "Go away Damian. I might have missed a bullet once, but trust me, I will not miss a second time." A sigh of relief came upon me when I saw fear on his face. His lips dropped and I could swear he was about to cry.
He said nothing and simply walked away to his car, and only when he was safe next to his door did he open his mouth and started yapping again, "I warned you Samuel. Now if she dies – you die too." He drove away before I could say anything, and he is one lucky man to have driven off when he did because even without any firearm I could kill him. I could grab his throat and make him face the same fate Christina nearly did, but Victoria has a plan, and I hope to God that her plan works out before I start taking matters into my own hands.
