QUESTION OF THE DAY: FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY?
3 Months Until Victoria's Death...
"This is not going to work," Samuel slams the door behind him after he enters the house. Victoria noticed his body was heavily sweating and could tell something was happening with him. She tried guessing what it could be, but there was no explanation to why Samuel is sweating when it's freezing cold outside. "Damian. They're threatening us, Victoria." She heard the worry in his voice and ran towards him to take him in her arms.
They knew that it was going to be difficult to get rid of the people with the most eyes on them in the entire town, but it must work if they wanted a shot at a peaceful life. Victoria had many reasons to want everyone on her list dead. Whether it was taking her best friend away from her. Attempting to take your boyfriend, or simply being a cunt – like Damian.
She knew that without these people life would be easier, more fun and peaceful, but the one thing Samuel and Victoria talked about that kept them from taking that final step in their plan was one thing, power. The power the Loveborn's have scared them, and their financial security wasn't any better.
Damian could walk into this house and shoot them both, and somehow he would be claimed a hero of a small town who killed two psychopaths or the Loveborn's save the town again. Something untruthful, to say the least. "What happened?" Victoria took Samuel's hand and placed it between her own. She was trying to calm his breathing because with the way he was taking in oxygen Victoria worried there would be any oxygen left for her in the room.
"They're stronger than us Victoria," He cried, "They are always going to be stronger than us and it isn't fair." This was the first time Victoria saw Samuel like this. So weak. So scared. So lost in his thoughts. She always thought that she was guarded by one of the strongest people on earth, but she didn't feel that way at this moment.
Something happened when he left the house Victoria thought, and I must know what it is. Victoria didn't reply to Samuel and let him drift off to sleep on the couch where he laid. She got up and placed a blanket over his sleeping body and gave him a tender kiss on his cheek. Careful enough not to wake him up.
She got up cautiously, worried she was going to make any loud noise and send Samuel up to his feet, and took slow steps to the kitchen where Samuel left his stash. She took the rolling paper and the cigarettes from his bag. Victoria was never a smoker, and she only tried smoking weed once in her life before. She remembered the last time she smoked it was with Isabella and she didn't like it one bit.
"What the fuck is this grassy taste?" She remembered asking, and Isabella took it from her and laughed. Victoria vowed to never let it enter her body again, but seeing how calm Samuel seems to get after a puff or two she insisted on giving it another blow.
She took her phone out and watched a video on how to roll, luckily, she got it perfectly coned in one go. She smiled at her success and contemplated waking Samuel up and showing him, but of course that was only her living on people's approval side. Thanks to her lovely father, who never thought of Victoria as enough, she grew a personality where she constantly seeked other's approval and gratitude.
She thrived on that, and she knew she had to stop. She lit the joint on fire and took a large sip, holding her cough in she blew out, and again. On the third hit Victoria felt the ground beneath her shake, at first she thought it was an earthquake but then remembered that she had a joint in her hand. She laughed at her own idiocy and proceeded to smoke the cigarette until it completely vanished.
Victoria sat down next to Samuel for some time. Listening to the sound of her thoughts as if they're not hers, but a radio playing nearby. A radio telling her exactly what she wants to hear. Until that radio played her favorite song, a phrase that rhymes perfectly with what needed to be done. She almost forgot why she smoked in the first place and was lost in a trail of her own ideas, but the feeling of the phone vibrating beneath her gave her an idea she couldn't say no to. She picked up the phone and jumped up to her feet. 12:15AM. She put on some clothes in a hurry and left the house. Giving Samuel one last look before disappearing out of the house. If he won't tell me what Damian did. I'll go find out for myself.
