CHRISTINA'S POV4 Months Until Victoria's Death...
"We must start planning." I say for the millionth time. All Isabella and Damian do is sit around and chat all day. Him on his gaming PC and she is on her phone posting stories and memes about cats. It's so frustrating being around these snobs. I hope all rich people are nothing like these two, and what irritates me more is the fact that their parents get along quite well.
His father works in a high position somewhere in town, I didn't actually get to know the location because him and Ms. Loveborn had other plans that involved the bedroom, and her mother was his secretary. They were hard working people unlike the two sperm wastes they have at home. "Just a minute." Damian is staring down at his screen like it's a life or death situation.
He has been following monsters around and killing them in some animated game he got yesterday night, and ever since he did not stop playing. "Isabella?" I throw my hands out in despair, hoping Isabella would notice that it is about time we move our asses before Samuel comes and finishes what he started. "What?" She says as she looks at her phone, "We should—"
"Oh my god!" She jumps up and down, sending shivers down my spine. I have never seen someone so hyped up from looking at a screen. "There's a 30% discount on a shoe I want!" She looks up to notice that neither Damian or I care. He was still in the game, and I just looked at her with disgust.
"You wouldn't get it," She rolls her eyes, "you're too poor." I wanted to jump and grab her hair. Beat her up, and feed her remains to the cats outside. Maybe I would even post a story on her social media saying, Hi guys, she's dead. But I decided against that. "Fuck off," I go and turn off Damian's game, "you guys are the worst planners in this fucking world." I go off, "Seriously, I mean you talk about murdering someone and then all you do is sit on your asses all day long. Can we plan?"
There was a long silence until either of them replied. It reminded me of that time at the school debate club when I was young. I went up against a girl called Charlie when we had to talk about the damage being done to young children because of mobile phones. "Blue Light can harm a person's brain." I remember saying, as to where Charlie and the rest of the crowd just looked at me blankly. Like I was a mysterious painting on a wall, and then all of a sudden, everyone laughed their asses off.
"You turned off my PC." Is he serious? Will he cry about some stupid game? "Are you dumb?" I look at him, genuinely waiting for an answer. He looked baffled, like my question was not right or in place. I am so confused as to why Victoria would even befriend someone like Isabella or date someone as slow minded as Damian. All I learnt in the three days I spent here is that I wish that Samuel actually choked me and killed me.
"You know what." I pick up my bag and make my way to the door. I turned only to see him still looking at me in confusion, and Isabella on her phone obsessing over the discount and ordering stuff. "I'm out of here." I tried to close the door shut behind me, but I was taken back by a whisper, "Wait." It was Damian, "It was my idea to kill Victoria. You really think we didn't already have a plan?" He turned to look at Isabella and smirked. Her giving him a smirk back.
"We already have a plan sweetheart," This time it was Isabella with her blonde hair and her big blue eyes just looking at me, "we just had to know how involved you are. Can't have you go to Samuel and tell him all of our secrets now, can we?" She giggled, and as pissed as I was at the both of them. They had a point. Who was I for them to just trust me completely? "Do you trust me now?" I put my bag back on the floor without letting go, maybe just maybe, they don't trust me completely, and in that case I'll be out of their hair.
"No. We trust you." They both say, "It's just that our plan requires Victoria to forgive you." Damian comes closer and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Why would it require that?" Weirdly enough, I like the thought of his hand lying there. I like the weird sense of safety I feel around him, but nothing feels safe with Isabella's devious eyes burying me with jealousy whenever he comes near. "Because it does." Isabella interrupts. "So are you in or are you out." I hate the way she has him bow down on his knees for her, but I don't say anything because the only reason I hate it so much is because I want him to be doing the same thing to me. I want to be his queen. His royalty. His precious stone. Like I was once for Samuel. I hated their stupid plan, their stupid requirements, but I don't know anything about Rivervine. If I go out alone I will be caught by Samuel, allowing him to finish what he started, and thinking about that scares the living shit out of me. "Fuck you." I say, "I'm in."
