ARIA'S POV
The ritual was completed and it was now 8 pm, dinner time!!
We all went to dining table and I went into kitchen to help mom to bring out the dinner, while Elena was putting plates on table and Kritika was outside on a call.
She was smiling like she has won in her life, there was no end to her happiness, so I assume she's talking to her fiancé.
On dining table, everyone started asking Elena and Krtika about their trip and how are they, if they like the food or not, for how long do they plan on staying in India this time etc.
I didn't get any chance to even talk to my best friends yet and here mom and dad are asking them all the questions right now, I started looking at my brother, he was continuously staring at Elena, my food got stuck in my throat seeing him like this drooling all over my best friend.
I started coughing and Kritika was sitting next to me and she gave me water and roughed my back to calm me down.

She asked me then, "what happened?!!", all I could manage to do was shook my head in denial.

thank god even my brother noticed it, i took out my phone and texted him.

Aru: stop staring at her like a creep!!!

Viraj: she looks so beautiful!!! I'm still shock that you have such beautiful best friends, how did they made you even a part of their group.

Aru: you do realise that tomorrow you will need my help to buy her favourite flowers remember? 😒

Viraj: accha baba sorry, ab nahi dekhunga teri hone wali Bhabhi ko kal tak!! (okay, i'm sorry, now i won't stare your future sister in law till tomorrow)

Aru: haa haa, ab khana khaa loh shanti se. (yeah yeah, now go and eat your food)

Both me and him quickly put down the phone and started eating the food before anyone else sees us texting on phone. Mom hates it when any of us uses phone on dining table, she knows that she can't take our phone away from us forever since we it's necessary for work, so she has made the rule to not use phone no matter what happens, during dinner or lunch or even at breakfast.

we all had our dinner and went to our respective rooms. My home had 3 floors, the ground floor is used by our maids and servants to stay there, it has 10 rooms downstairs. then comes the first floor which had 5 rooms, one of them is mine, the other is of bhai and the third room is of bhua (aunt) , while the rest 2 are guest rooms. Then on 2nd floor, it has 3 huge rooms, one of them is of mom and dad, the rest 2 are empty now, before it was of my grandparents (dada-dadi and nana-nani) but since now the 4 of them have died, no one lives there. while the 3rd floor is basically used for storage, like books, utensils which we don't use anymore, almirah, couch, curtains, clothes etc. The 3rd floor has 5 rooms. Elena and Kritika are living on the same floor as me in their respective rooms.

Nana ji died when I was 4 due to heart attack and soon after 2 months my nani ji also died. Mom told me that nana ji and nani ji used to love each other wholeheartedly, they loved each other so much that whenever nana ji used to go for business trip, he couldn't stay away from nani ji at all, he used to come back anyhow within 2 days, and in those 2 days he didn't used to sleep, he was obsessed with his wife.

While dada ji and dadi ji died in a landslide when I was 10, I don't have much memories with them because dada ji was a workaholic, he only used to visit during festivals, while my dadi ji was sweet though, she loved all of us, she was strong and independent woman, she had her own business, she used to be a famous cook, that's why dada ji fell in love with her, he was judge in a contest where my dadi ji was cooking, he fell in love with her cooking and then because of my dada ji's efforts she also started falling for him and then soon after dating for 2 months they got married and had my dad along with his 2 other siblings (brother and sister), but after 10 years of their marriage something happened between them which caused them to stay separated most of the time, they started ignoring each other's presence, but my dadi ji never made us feel his absence, she used to play the role of both the grandmother and grandfather. one day they went they went on a trip to Rishikesh and they died there in a landslide. The trip was organized by my dad and his other 2 siblings to make things better between their parents but they had no idea something like this will happen, they feel guilty about their parents death even though it wasn't their fault.
