"But I wanted that blanket!" Anjelo pouts as he watches Y/N, who was dancing around with said blanket. "You could always share the blanket with me, but til then, the blanket is mine!" Y/N answers with a sing-song voice as she wraps the multicolored, yarn blanket around her shoulders. Anjelo's lips press together in a thin line before flipping his imaginary long hair with a sigh and a playful, "You don't love me anymore, madame." The girls erupt into a fit of laughter and laugh until they are gasping for air with tears in their eyes. The blanket clad females grip loosens and Anjelo steals it away from her with a flick of his wrist. "I'll give you that. You earned it." she claims as she wipes her brown eyes with the pads of her fingers. The only male bows and walks away with his new cape as it flows over his shoulders. "Should we see if we can find some food in here or more blankets, perhaps?" Anjelo's voice rings out with a raised eyebrow.
"Hooray! More exploring!" Ayden mumbles sarcastically as she waves her fingers in the air. Y/N gives her a gentle smack on her shoulder before grabbing her hand and dragging her along with a grin. "C'mon, miss sarcasm." Ayden whines in response. "I'm tired of walking! Why can't we just chill for a day?!" Anjelo snorts. "I mean, you can stay here if you want, but then you'd be on your own and there's no telling when a zombie could come and getcha!" Just as he finishes speaking, Y/N claps her hands together, causing Ayden to run to the nearest hiding spot like a frightened cartoon character. "Not! Funny!" the blonde yells as she looks back at the cackling duo. "I'm gonna pee!" Anjelo admits through giggles, doing the 'peepee' dance for extra effect. Ayden's lips draw into a thin line while she rolls her eyes, "I hate you both. I hope you know that." "Yeah, we know. Now let's go." Y/N grins, taking Ayden by the hand and walking forward, "We love you too."
"This part of the store is so murky and deserted. Wonder if this side had the workers flee first or not." Anjelo comments with a shrug of his shoulders. The females shake their heads while glancing around at the discarded articles of furniture. Chairs, tables, and turned over stools litter the floor while the small dust particles float in the air freely. "Bless you." Ayden comments after Y/N sneezes, earning a nod from said girl. "So? See anything worth taking yet?" "Nope. Anjelo?" A head shakes. "Maybe we split up, but we all stay in this same area where we can see each other. If anything happens and we, for some reason, get separated, then yell and the others will come running. Deal?" They disperse into their separate areas, but they still stay within eye sight of each other. They rummage around the furniture before one of them strikes gold. "I found two quilts! Or they might be towels.. But I still found them!" Y/N cheers as she waves her trophies in the air.
The cheering is short-lived, though. "Hey, guys? What's this?" Anjelo asks before curiously reaching a hand out to poke a cluster of mushrooms in a nearby wall before Ayden is pulling him away and Y/N's yelling. "Don't touch that!" Hands continue to pull a body away from the scene while the other makes a beeline for the way they came. "Why are you guys freaking out?" Anjelo questions confused, "They're just mushrooms." "Those aren't just 'any' mushrooms, Anjelo! Those are spores! And there's not a host attached, so we need to retreat, and we need to go now!" Y/N yells before making her getaway with the other two in tow. Once they get to the other room, Y/N immediately begins to search for paper and a pen. "Now, what are you doing?" he wonders again. "Pen and paper. Monitoring you for possible infection." Y/N mutters as she panics, hands flinging things to and fro. Anjelo spares a glance at Ayden, who is already looking at him with a fearful expression.
"Honey, I'm alright. We're alright." Anjelo says as he tries to calm the girls. "I don't feel any different. I-" "No one does at first. Then, all of a sudden, it hits. You know how people look when they first turn? You'll look like that within a matter of seconds." Y/N states, setting her hands on top of a cabinet. Ayden walks over to Y/n's side and gently places a hand on her back, then looks over at Anjelo, who is standing with his arms folded across his chest. "He hasn't changed or acted any weirder than normal. It's also been about 5 to 10 minutes since we've left the other room." The dual-haired woman's eyes shift amongst the two bodies in the room, eyesight lingering on the male for a longer period of time. "Like I said, I don't feel any different from how I was before we even walked in the room. If it makes you girls feel any better, I will gladly sleep outside on the roof just so you guys can trust me." Y/N says nothing while Ayden smiles at him sympathetically.
"At least take one of these quilts she found earlier when you go.." the blonde murmurs and tosses him one of the blankets. Anjelo nods before walking towards the exit. "Anjelo!" He stops and turns his head to the side, "Hmm?" "Take a pillow." Y/N states as she hands him the fluffy pillowcase, "Are you sure that this is what you wanna do?" Anjelo's hand comes up and strokes his prickly chin. "If it's what will make you girls comfortable enough to sleep, then that's what will happen. It's either sleep there or in the other room where I run more of a risk for being infected. Plus, this way, if I turn, you won't have to worry about me."
