"Where's the key?! Fuck, couldn't we get lucky just one time!" Y/N yells and slams her hands against the wheel in frustration. Anjelo lays his hand on her shoulder and gives it a gentle squeeze in response. "We could always hot wire it or maybe find a flathead screwdriver small enough to fit into the ignition." Y/N sighs heavily through her nose but nods at Anjelo's words. "Shouldn't we figure out a way to see if this truck has gas before we get our hopes too high?" Ayden offers a hum as her response while Y/N climbs out of the driver's seat and leans against the side of the truck. "Stupid truck." she mutters under her breath, causing Ayden to let out a small giggle. "Let's find some other cars that are unlocked and see if they happen to have the keys in them. Some supplies wouldn't be half bad right about now, either." Searching for another open car seemed to be easier said than done as every car they checked was either locked or taking them farther and farther away from their original car.

"Motherfucker!" Y/N yells after she stumbles forward and angrily kicks the small rock that made her trip. It takes everything in the others bodies not to laugh at the woman. "Hey! No fucking a mother! I mean, unless you're into that kind of thing." Anjelo quotes as he rubs the back of his neck with a small grin. Ayden shakes her head while Y/N stares at Anjelo with an unreadable expression on her face. "Okay. Moving on." he states awkwardly before jogging to the next car he sees, jumping back whenever a zombie bumps its head forcefully into the window. "You alright?!" one of the girls yells immediately. Anjelo holds a hand in the air, a small declaration that he's alright. "Yeah. Fucking zombie jumpscared me." he says as he wipes the dirt from his pants. They search for a couple more hours before deciding to call it quits. "It's night, so we need to find a place to camp until the morning." Ayden comments while she watches Y/N go back to the truck that she was messing with originally.

"Let's rest here. At least the locks work in this one." The other two don't question her as they climb into the truck and lock the doors. They sleep soundly for a couple of hours until a constant popping noise can be heard, slowly getting louder the closer it becomes. "What's going on?" Y/N wonders while she rubs the sleep out of her eyes with the palms of her hands. "I don't know. I keep hearing this popping noise." All of a sudden, the roar of a car and yelling can be heard. "What the-" Ayden looks through the window but freezes immediately after she sees the back of a man's head as they communicate with another. "Y/N!" Ayden whisper-yells. Y/N follows her line of sight before she gently, and as quietly as she can, opens the door. "Go, go, go. Get onto the road and then move to the next open car you see. Don't get caught." Y/N stays behind in the truck as she watches Anjelo and Ayden hide behind another car. All is well until- "Well, well, well. What have we here?" a dark voice questions.

Y/N looks at the man, only to find him already looking at her with a sadistic grin. "What's a pretty little thing like you doing out by yourself? Did ya group leave you behind?" Y/N chews on her lip anxiously. 'Lie and lie well,' she thinks to herself. "Yeah. They decided that I couldn't keep up with them anymore, so I've been on my own for a few days now." She states as she locks eyes with the man again after he strokes her cheek condescendingly. "Poor baby." he chides, "Guess we could always keep you with us, but you'd have to go through initiation." The way the man's eyes seem to darken doesn't go unnoticed by the woman in front of him. "Initiation? And what does that consist of?" Y/N bites her lip again, but the emotion behind it is different. "Such a daring little girl. The initiation consists of-" Thunk. Y/N manages to catch the man before his body hits the ground and then looks over at the culprit. "Good hit, Anjelo, but make sure he's dead so he doesn't come after us later. We gotta do the same with the others." Y/N whispers.

She drops the body on the ground as quietly as she can and loots his body for any possible weapons or extras such as the car key from the car they were driving in. Y/N's eyes flint back and forth rapidly, "Where's our little blonde?!" As if she was called on cue, Ayden comes around the front of a car holding a pistol in her hand. "I'm right here. Calm down." she says in a normal tone. Y/N's eyebrows crease while she scans Ayden's demeanor quizzically. "Why aren't you whispering? There's still more of them out there!" Ayden tilts her head with a small grin. "Not anymore. That's something my brother taught me." she says as she wipes her hands on her pants, "I'm able to be very quiet when I want to be. I'm your best friend when it comes to stealth as long as I'm not injured." Y/N's expression is slightly worried before she stands up. "Remind me not to piss you off." she says while pointing a finger in the girls' direction. The latter laughs before she extends her hand to Anjelo and helps him up off the ground.

"How'd you even manage to-" "I snapped their necks." Ayden says, cutting Anjelo off mid sentence. "My brother taught me a very specific pressure point that will make someone all loosey-goosey and then pop!" she finishes while her hands make a jerking motion as they separate. "Yeah.. Remind me to never piss you off. Keys?" "Still in the car." A quick stab to the back of the head to the remaining man causes Anjelo to sigh. "Alright, bitches. Let's go."
