Sleep isn't an option, at least, not when you're worried about the third member of your party. Hands run over faces in hopes of waking their host up further. "Ready to check on Anjelo?" "Yeah. Let's go." They walk over to where the last member of their party was last seen and start the ascending climb of the small ladder. "Watch your step." Ayden calls from behind her. The hatch drops open with a loud thunk as it hits the roof. Y/N's head pokes out into the open as the rest of her body follows suit shortly after with Ayden in tow. "Anjelo?! You still with us, bud!" Ayden's light toned voice rings out. They look around for a minute, feeling their anxiety pick up when he still hasn't answered them. "Anjelo!" Y/N calls then turns to look at Ayden with wide eyes. "Anjelo!" the girls call out again and finally hear a soft groan from a lump that resided by a broken pole. "G-Good morning, g-girls." the man chimes through chattering teeth.
"Y/N, help me get him inside. He's turning purple." After the trio return, the girls grab their blankets and wrap him up, then hug him tightly. "Feeling any better?" Anjelo just nods as the chattering of his teeth starts to slow down. "Y-Yeah. Thank you." Y/N guilty plays with her fingers as she lays her head on Anjelo's shoulder, "I'm sorry we made you sleep outside." He leans his head against hers before leaning it back to its upright position. "You didn't make me do anything. I told you both that if that's what it took for me to make you guys feel safe, then that's what I'd do. I went of my own free will, you didn't hold a gun to my head and force me out. But I do know one thing, though." "Oh yeah? What's that?" Ayden questions. "I'm taking more than one blanket!" After the laughter dies down, the trio sits in silence for a while. It's a comfortable silence, but all silence must break. "Are we staying here another night, or are we gonna move on?" Y/N shrugs. "I vote we move on. We don't know if there's anymore spores in this building, and last night was too close of a call."
Ayden raises her hand, "I second that motion. We need to stick together for as long as we can." Anjelo doesn't say anything as he rises to his feet with a sigh. "You not gonna say anything?" Ayden questions with a tilt of her head. "Majority won." the male states simply, "We are taking these blankets and going. If you think there's anything we might need in this room, grab it and let's get this show on the road." The small group ended up leaving with the blankets they found, a few pillowcases, and a couple pens they came across that had been sitting in a display case. Anjelo makes it off the roof first, followed by Y/N, then Ayden bringing up the rear. "Now, which direction are we going, ladies? Left or right?" "Straight." Y/N remarks. We came from the left, so let's continue forward." "Easy choice, but now we definitely have to look for some food unless we wanna eat fish again." "That's gonna be hard since we're basically in a city again." Ayden mutters.
"There's small ponds at parks, possibly?" Anjelo tries, offering slight hopefulness. The girls shrug as they start walking again. "Too bad we can't find a car." Y/N says after they managed to walk a couple miles away from the building. "We can always try to look for one, but then that means that we'd have to hit the roads, and I don't think that we're prepared enough for that yet." Y/N looks at the other two members before taking her lip between her teeth in thought. A car means that they could travel with more stuff, but it would more than likely attract the attention of the zombies that lurk in the shadows. It would be a lot easier to get from city to city without worrying as much about getting bit, but where would they find gas? Fuck it. "I think we should chance it." "Chance what?" Anjelo wonders as he looks around in front of him. "Getting a car. Yeah, it's gonna be loud, but it also means that we get to carry more things with us."
"But what about gas? I doubt we'll find an electric car in this economy." Ayden remarks. "We'll just have to siphon gas from other cars, but first, we need to find a car that works and possibly clear it out." Y/N says as she picks up a hefty rock, tossing it up and down in her hand a few times. She throws it as hard as she can, knocking a zombie into the ground while dust comes up behind it the minute the undead makes contact with the concrete. "Nice aim!" Anjelo claims as he nudges Y/N's arm with his elbow. "Thanks. Now, let's hit the road literally." So that's what they did. Cars littered the road. Some had their tires slashed, others had their hoods popped up with the windows busted. "Damn! Did they take everything or did they take everything." Ayden mutters comically after their eyes narrowed on the cars that littered the road like pieces of trash. "Wonder how many people crashed trying to shove other cars and people out of the way." Y/N whispers as they come across a car that has a small flame burning in the backseat.
"Careful!" The dual-haired woman's curiosity gets the better of her and she leans down to see inside of a nearby blue Chevy. Nothing appears on the inside, so she opts to open one of the doors. "Well, this is opened!" Y/N yells before pointing her finger to the automobile. "We can see that, but the question is, does it run?" "Only one way to find out."
