CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN - APOLOGIES
Eleanor ended up at the edge of her dock drinking her now second corona. Leon wasn't home so it was just her and her thoughts. Not a good thing may I add.
"Talk to me dad" She whispered, wishing she could be back home in LA were everything seemed simpler and just easy. The girl went to stand up and head back inside when saw a very familiar boat coming her way.
"Pope what the fuck?" She said as the boat came closer to the dock "Can't a girl get any peace round here"
"Sorry El code red. JJ and John B conked out in the marsh and they need a tow" He said, sticking his hand to help her in the boat.
Eleanor frowned "And you need me because?"
"Uh we need you for mechanical" He shrugged so she gave in and took his hand before stepping into the boat.
"I was just gonna go get drunk away" She then took a seat on the bow of the boat as Pope drove away from her dock. When the boat began to slow down next to another dock Eleanor was confused until she saw Kie walking down "Bloody fantastic" The girl groaned as they finally made it to Heyward's boat that was stuck in the marsh.
Eleanor and Kiara hopped onto the boat and into the cab of the boat to see John B and JJ leaning over the control centre. Their heads shooting up at the sound of them walking in.
"So what happened?" Kiara asked.
"The, uh, alternator's not alternating anymore" JJ told her as she rolled her eyes.
"It's not charged"
Eleanor looked at the two boys suspiciously "Did you check the plugs?"
"No. No, you should check 'em. Yeah" JJ handed her some pliers as Eleanor was still learnt against the doorframe of the enclosed area.
"You guys are useless" Kiara groaned, bending down to see what was wrong.
"Sorry about that" JJ shrugged as he scratched the back of his neck before literally pushing past Eleanor and diving off the side of the boat.
"I'm sorry El" John B said with a small mischievous smile on his face as he quickly kissed her cheek before jumping off the boat after JJ.
"John B, you fucking asshole!" She yelled, running after him as Kiara came up behind her with the same shocked look on face.
"Are you joking?" Kiara asked when she heard banging coming from the cargo hold of the boat. Eleanor and went and undid the latch to find Sarah who was just as angry as the other two girls.
"What the hell?" Kiara shouted at the boys who were watching them while laughing.
