CHAPTER TWENTY - MISSION COMPLETE
"So the library's on the other side of the student centre" Sarah told them as they got out of the taxi "Have you guys ever been here before?"
Eleanor smiled and shook her head "I've never been to a college, no" John B said before looking at El "What about you El? Ever thought of going to college?"
She shrugged "My Aunt Mia always wanted me to but I've never been that kinda girl that could actually focus in school"
John B chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulder when Sarah's phone started to buzz "Oh no, it's my dad" She cringed "I'm just gonna take this, I'll meet you guys inside"
The two teens nodded and continued to walk ahead "What would your parents say if they knew you were here?" John B randomly asked.
"Probably lock me up in a tower like Rapunzel, never to see daylight again as would Leon" She laughed.
John B gasped "As a Pogue sympathiser?" Eleanor hummed with a smile on her face "Oh my goodness, you gotta be careful fraternising with the enemy, Valerie. Wait a minute. Did he kidnap you, drug you?" He pretended to be talking into a fake phone with his hand.
"No, no" Eleanor spoke in a Spanish accent "I came of my own recognisance, following a lead"
"Oh, do we know this enemy?"
"You do, he keeps dragging your niece on some crazy adventures" She too spoke into a fake phone.
John B put a hand over his mouth "No, no, no. It's not that Routledge boy with the bandanna around his neck, is it?"
"He is not what you think" She said, titling her head with a smile.
"Goodness gracious, he's working some good psyops on you, Val" He rubbed his forehead "He's a smooth operator"
"No, he's not" He gasped and pretended to put the phone down as she giggled "He's very clumsy, he does finger guns way too often" She smiled as he did his infamous finger guns "And he has absolutely no idea when a girl is into him. But I think I might be able to turn this one, sir"
"You better be careful, Valerie. Once a Pogue, always a Pogue" John B smiled at her as they walked into the building entrance.

Sarah walked in after a good ten minutes after telling her dad she was staying the night at Scarlet's "All right, you two. It's time to play the truth game, why the hell are we here?"
John B sighed "Look, Sarah, I already told you. I can't tell you"
Eleanor raised her eyebrows "JB she's gonna find out eventually"
