CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT - FULL KOOK
"You got rope? Grappling hook?" John B began to list of their items that they apparently needed.
"No grappling hook. We're not batman" Pope rolled his eyes.
"Pulley?" John B continued, totally ignoring Pope.
"Check"
"Dark clothes and flashlights?"
"Check and check"
"All right, good" John B finished the list as they pulled up to the house that looked even scarier in the dark "We're ready"
"Let's go get rich, guys" JJ grinned, opening the van door.
"Hell, yeah" Kiara added.
"Wait, wait" John B sighed as he looked at them all "I wanna say thank you, guys. Seriously. It means a lot to me that you're here tonight"
"Always" Kiara replied as Eleanor and Sarah smiled at him softly.
"Of course, man" Pope said as he and John B did their handshake.
"And you know we'd do it all again for you" Eleanor said making his cheeks heat up slightly.
"All right, we done with the circle jerk? Can we go do this?" JJ then snapped, breaking up the sentimental moment as he pushed past them all and jumped out the van.
"Yeah, let's get that wheat in the water" Pope then got out the van next as JJ looked at him.
"Weed? I'm up for weed"
"Wheat. JJ, I said wheat"
The Pogues then began walking through the Crain house lawn but when they got closer to the deck they realised she had sensor lights.
"Shit!"
"Oh, shit!"
"Go, go, go, go. Flashlights!" Kie whispered.
"JJ your fucking light!" Eleanor nudged JJ who was trying to get his flashlight to turn off.
"It's on strobe!" JJ argued before finally turning it off as they all crouched down behind a bush while trying to catch their breath.
"Okay, so she has motion sensor lights" Pope said after a minute.
"We could, uh. . .move really slowly, maybe?" JJ shrugged as everyone turned to look at him "What?"
"Okay who brought blondie over here?" Eleanor pointed at him as he gave her the middle finger in response.
"Guys, focus! Let's throw a rock at it" John B said like it was even better than JJ's idea.
"That's really a good idea" Kiara rolled her eyes "Let the axe murderer know that we're here"
"You guys are useless" Eleanor said, looking directly at John B and JJ "Just putting it out there"
