seven

things were going good for felix and hyunjin. felix felt as if everything was slowly going back to normal, and although he still felt anxious at times that it's all a dream or it's going to come crashing down, he shook it off and just remembered that he always had hyunjin by his side.

so there felix was, walking down the stairs to join everyone at the dinning table, when he got the smell that absolutely made his stomach turn.

"what is that smell?" felix held his breath as he looked at the rest of the members.

"...kimchi? eggs? beef? rice? there's a lot of smells," minho held up a bowl of food that he was serving
for everyone at the table, making felix gag.

"i'm sorry," felix held a hand over his mouth as he ran to the nearest bathroom. he crouched down and immediately spewed out what he had in his stomach. he felt a hand on his back as another hand held his hair back from falling in his face.

"are you ok, angel?" hyunjin softly said once felix stopped heaving.

felix grabbed some toilet paper to wipe his mouth, flushing the toilet, "yeah, i think so. my throat hurts. stomach too."

hyunjin immediately wrapped felix in a hug once he helped him get back onto his wobbling feet. "do you want to lay down? i'll bring you some rice? maybe that will help you settle your stomach?"

felix hummed in response, melting into hyunjin's embrace, tense muscles relaxing as he rubbed his back.  felix felt hyunjin's warm embrace leave and his arm snake around his waist to help him to their room.

once the smaller boy laid down onto their bed, hyunjin kissed his forehead, "i'll be right back, baby. i'm going to get you some food and water, ok?"

"what happened? is he ok?" chan asked the tall boy once he got back to the table, grabbing a bowl to get food for his fragile boyfriend.

"yes, he just threw up. i think he's coming down with something," hyunjin looked at chan as he served some rice onto the bowl.

"i'll come right down and we can eat," hyunjin said as he hurriedly walked to felix with the bowl of food and water.

"here, baby," hyunjin smiled as he handed the food to felix, who took the food with a bright, yet tired smile.

"thank you, jinnie," felix slowly began to eat, shooing hyunjin to eat with the rest with a smile.

whatever felix was coming down with, was only getting worse. he was constantly vomiting, always fatigued, he was quite emotional too.

"i hate this, jinnie," felix sobbed as he finished throwing up for a second, gagging again when the smell got to his nose.

hyunjin looked at the sobbing boy in front of him with hurt eyes, knowing there was nothing he could do that could help him.

"do you want me to make you a nice cup of tea? ginger lemon this time?" hyunjin rubbed the younger boys back.

"i'm scared i'll throw it up," felix said into the bowl, shoulders slumped.

"it'll help settle your stomach, angel," hyunjin hummed as he continued to rub his back.

felix weakly nodded as he flushed the toilet, tears still flowing down his pale cheeks. he looked at himself through the mirror as he brushed his teeth to take the taste out of his mouth. he looked so pale, so fragile. he had eye bags from how exhausted he was, he almost didn't recognize himself. hyunjin noticed and gently pulled the boy to their room.

"i'll be right back with your tea, baby," hyunjin kissed felix on the top of his head when he sat down on the bed.

hyunjin not so patiently waited for the water to heat up on the stovetop, tapping his hands on the countertop, staring at nothing.

"tea again?" minho asked as he walked into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water.

"yeah," hyunjin sighed, running his hands on his face, "he doesn't seem to be getting better. he's getting worse honestly. he can't even hold anything down and he looks so tired, minho hyung. and i feel hopeless not being able to help him."

minho frowned seeing hyunjin like that, placing a gentle but firm hand on his shoulder. hyunjin's head snapped up, looking at the older boy. "you need to take him to the doctors. sooner rather than later."

hyunjin nodded as he noticed the water finally boiling. he poured the water into a mug that already had the tea bag placed inside.

"i need to take this to him," he wiped his eyes before taking a deep breath and taking the tea to the waiting boy.

minho sighed as he watched the tall boy leave to his room. he turned off the lights, walking over to his own room with his glass of water and another one for han.
