thirteen

felix and hyunjin sat in the doctors office, felix cradling his small protruding abdomen, not wanting to think about the last time he was there.

the blue haired boy caressed his belly with his thumb, nervously chewing on his bottom lip. hyunjin noticed, immediately taking his other hand in his.

"you ok?" hyunjin gently squeezed his hand, snapping the boy out of his anxious state.

"i'm nervous, jinnie," felix admitted, looking up at hyunjin with beady eyes.

"everything is going to be fine, baby," hyunjin smiled at him, "you've been doing so well with making sure our bub has a healthy and cozy home."

"thank you, i hope so," felix shyly smiled, giving hyunjin a sweet kiss on the cheek.

"hello!" dr. park greeted, "so good to see you guys again!"

"on better circumstances," felix gave her a slight smile, hint of guilt evident in his eyes.

"these things are never easy, don't be hard on yourself," dr. park gave him an encouraging smile, "this is a decision of a lifetime. let's check on the little one, shall we?"

the two boys nodded, felix wiping his eyes a bit as he laid back onto the examination table.

"are you still experiencing morning sickness or nausea throughout the day?" dr. park asked as she prepped the ultrasound machine.

"yes but not as much. i usually just
get it in the morning," the smaller boy said as he lifted his shirt above his tiny bump.

"that's good to hear, morning sickness should ease by your fourteenth week, so about two weeks for you," dr. park smiled as she applied some gel onto his belly, "if it hasn't subsided by then, you let me know so i can help you out."

"okay, thank you," felix kindly smiled, holding hyunjin's hand as they faced the screen.

dr. park placed the transducer on his lower abdomen, pressing it around to get a good look at the baby, felix grew more nervous the more she moved the transducer around, until she let out a small chuckle.

"and here's your baby," she smiled as she pointed at the small baby.

"oh thank goodness," hyunjin let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in, getting teary eyed.

"baby is developing at a great rate, everything is looking good!"

"our baby is healthy right?" felix looked at the doctor with watery eyes.

"perfectly healthy, strong baby," she smiled as she placed her hand over his, giving him a gentle pat.

felix nodded, relief taking over his body.

"can everyone please meet us at the table?" hyunjin called out as they walked into the door, taking off their shoes.

felix fiddled with the hem of his sweater as he walked over to the dining table, hyunjin's hand on the small of his back as he walked right behind him.

"what's going on?" chan was the first one to walk to the table, eyeing them suspiciously.

hyunjin gave him a nervous chuckle as the rest came pooling in shortly after, "nothing bad, channie hyung."

one by one, they sat down at the table, waiting for either one of them to say something.

felix took a deep breath as he reached for hyunjin's hand on the table, "before i say anything, i need you guys to promise me that you won't be mad. at me or at hyunjin. please."

everyone looked at felix with confused faces, unsure of what to expect, but promising him nonetheless.

"there's honestly no easy way to say this, and i swear it was just as a surprise to us as it might come to you guys.." felix took another deep breath, squeezing hyunjin's hand as he ran his thumb over his knuckles, "i'm, uh, i'm pregnant.. hyunjin hyung and i are having a baby.."

a collective what from each boy, wide eyed looks were displayed on their faces, all except for minho, who was giving hyunjin a relieved smile.

"how far along?" minho asked, being the only one who could form an actual question at the moment.

"twelve weeks," hyunjin grabbed the envelope that had their sonogram from earlier in the day.

he took out the sonograms and passed it around for them to see, looking at their reactions to the baby.

"i just wanted to say that this hasn't been an easy journey for me so far.." the blue haired boy sighed as he looked at them, "i've been dealing with severe nausea and vomiting from the very beginning, which i'm sure you guys probably noticed, and honestly, i was so terrified. hyunjin and i just started being able to be ourselves again, to be with each other again, and i didn't want to jeopardize that."

felix paused, eyes getting watery, voice getting shaky as everyone listened to him, "i didn't want to jeopardize our group either. it was so hard for me to make a decision about this. i almost didn't go through with the pregnancy," he closed his eyes as he held back tears, hearing soft gasps leave their mouths.

"the anxiety and fear i had about losing everything was too much. i didn't want to lose you guys, hyunjin or our baby.. i can't," he bit his lip, stopping it from wobbling, "i couldn't hurt my baby. i was just so terrified. i'm so sorry, i know i'm risking everything for everyone."

"hey.. don't apologize," chan said, grabbing felix's hand, "you are so strong, felix, so strong. i can't imagine how you were feeling, but i can promise you that you and hyunjin are not alone in this. we'll always support and be by your side. this baby is a blessing."

"thank you, channie hyung," felix squeezed his hand as he let the tears fall.

hyunjin wrapped his arm around felix's shoulder as he pressed his closed to his chest, kissing the top of his head, "i'm so proud of you, angel."

"an actual baby," jisung cooed as he looked at the sonogram, "congratulations, you two."

jisung stood up and walked over to felix and hyunjin, hugging them both with a wide smile.

"group hug!" changbin happily exclaimed as he joined in on their hug, others following along, engulfing them in a gentle group hug, congratulating the couple.

"i love you guys," felix giggled as they pulled away, "thank you all."
