Charlotte got on Dusty-Rose as her siblings got onto the carriage. They decided to go with their sister to make sure that they get the money from Mr. Olsen. They arrived as Charlotte got off Dusty-Rose and the siblings walked in. "Morning Mrs. Olsen." Harriet turned around with a smile and said, "Good morning Charlotte." Albert and Laura walked over and talked to Harriet about the deal that they made with Nels. "Mrs. Olsen, that did happen." Harriet looked at Charlotte and said, "You are just an employee and you can't be doing any deals. Now allow me to work on this." Charlotte was furious as Harriet tried to undo the deal. Albert added the hive, making Laura confused and then said, "Come after sunrise since they'll be taking their nap." Harriet smiled, giving them an extra dollar and leaving the sibling trio.
Charlotte followed her brother and sister out as she said, "Why did you tell Mrs. Olsen to come after sunrise when you know they'll be active." Her siblings smiled when she thought for a second then smiled. "Albert Ingalls, you are a genius." Albert and Laura smiled as they headed back to the house as Charlotte went back to continue working. Jason then came into the store and said, "Did I just see Laura in here with a boy?" Charlotte chuckled and said, "You and Almanzo are similar in so many ways." Jason seemed confused on what she meant. "That boy is our adopted brother. Albert. Laura and Albert have been working to get honey and were able to receive the deal they made with Nels." Jason nodded as Charlotte grabbed his hands and said, "Why don't you ask Laura to hang out with you soon. I know she'll enjoy it." Jason nodded leaving Charlotte to go back to work so that she can get as much done. Harriet told her that if she gets a bit done then she can see her brother in law and sister leave for mankato.
After a few hours of work Almanzo went to the Mercantile and saw his girl working. He walked in and said, "Hey, I heard that your sister and brother in law are going to Mankato." Charlotte nodded and said, "Me and my siblings decided to put our money together so that they can do it." Almanzo put his hand on her face making her smile and said, "That is what I love about you Maeve. You always put people before you." Charlotte blushed when she heard Harriet asking her if she was working. "I'd best get back. I need to work as much as I can so go see my brother in law and sister head to Mankato tomorrow." Almanzo nodded, gave her a kiss on the cheek and walked back to his work.
