WE arrived in Manila around eleven in the evening. When I mean "we", kasama ang mga kaibigan ni Senator Sanchez at iyong mga asawa nila. Some of them will attend the gala and some of them have business to attend to in Manila especially the congressman and the governor. It was the former vice-governer's private jet we used in this flight.

Senator Sanchez had been accommodating and trying to entertain me by making conversation. Pala-kaibigan din iyong mga asawa ng mga kaibigan ni Senator Sanchez.

Unang nagpakilala si Kladeria which I have known her because of some scandal years ago involving her and her husband, the owner of this plane.

Kinausap din ako ni Crize na asawa ng gobernador ng Cebu nang matapos na silang mag-usap ng asawa niya sa likod. And Celeste joined the conversation after her husband has settled down together with their baby.

Naiilang ako kasi sociable at friendly sila na hindi ko alam kung paano makisalamuha. They were like the girls in the band that knew each other's secrets and have friendship build for thousand of years.

Nasa sasakyan na ako ni Senator habang nakikinig sa pag-uusap nila ng fiancee yata niya. He was like all smiles bright as the moon. My first impression on this man was that I thought he wasn't capable of falling in love...I mean, he couldn't fall in love when he was always busy with his business in the government and his actual economic business. Minsan pa ay iniimbita siya sa ibang bansa sa iba't-ibang mga events as honorary speaker. He was really popular Senator. Parang kung tutuusin ay wala na siyang oras sa pag-ibig. He was also intimidating and authoritative like the devil.

He couldn't be in love...but well, he was so in love as of the moment.

"I brought a friend who is a friend of Alaric. She will be with us in the gala night. See you tomorrow, baby."

Hindi ko talaga gusto si Catharina. She was unfriendly and didn't have the morals same as mine. Gusto kong umirap pero hindi ko iyong gagawin kasi mabubuti ang mga tao ngayon sa akin. I needed to repay Senator's kindess.

"Thank you. See you." Ibinaba niya ang tawag. Alam kong papunta kami sa village niya. He owned the richest and luxurious village in the metro.

"Maraming-maraming salamat po, Senator. I don't really need some help, but thank you for making initiative dahil kanina hindi ko alam kung paano magsisimula. But here I am...taking this opportunity to take the risk."

"That means...you're ready to take it all."

"Not all. Just Rasquin." He chuckled, nodding in agreement.

Dinala ako ni Senator sa isang malaking subdivision na hindi mga bahay ang nakatirik kundi mga buildings na mayroong mga firing ranges and military training grounds. Sa pinakagitna ng mga lupain ay isang mataas at matayog na building ang nakatayo.

I knew before that Senator had a company which services involve providing security to important people. I remembered Daddy availing such services for Ate Bianca despite their unfriendliness towards each other. Daddy was desperate to protect Ate Bianca noong nakatanggap ito ng death threats dahil sa hinandle nitong kaso.

Huminto kami sa isang napakalaking building na animo'y technological company that provides electronic services. The building facade had large emboldened dark-golden letters that state IFLO-EXO AGENCY. The large logo was golden colored emphasizing crossed swords with armors. In every panels, there were lion, hawk, eagle, and sun rays with three stars symbolizing Philippines. Outside the circle was the company name and two little flowers which I didn't know. Because the flowers were too feminine for a security agency. Tsaka naka-bandera on each side ang Philippine flag at iyong company flag nila na kulay gray, asul, at gold.
