THE GALA NIGHT was glittery, elegant, and shining. The large social hall of the largest convention center of the country was packed by various people from different countries with different important backgrounds and roles in the society. Majority of the people here were state leaders.

There was a royal announcer announcing the arrivals of every royal delegate. I arrived with Senator Sanchez. I wasn't introduced properly with the girl holding his arm as we made our way to the hall. Nasa ibang sasakyan ako kanina, hindi sila kasama.

Pero binigyan ako ni Senator ng sapphire colored little card na para araw sa ikatlong tao na dadalo kasama ng main delegate. Kalakip ang card sa golden invitation card ng event. Iyon ang ibinigay ko para pumasok.

Nakasunod lang ako kay Senator at iyong girlfriend niyang hindi naman sa Catharina. I didn't have the opportunity to talk to her. But she was the heiress of the top one richest businessman in the Philippines.

Lumingon si Senator sa akin but group of people approached the two of them. Iyong mga iba pang senadors at kakilala na representate ng Pilipinas ngayong gabi. Hinayaan ko na sila dahil alam ko talagang pagkakaguluhan si Senator.

Bawat corner, iba't-ibang grupo ng mga tao ang nakikipag-usap. Kasama na doon ang napakaraming media brands from local and international.

"Ivory!" someone called me from behind. At salamat naman, may kakilala ako rito dahil hindi ko pa namataan ang pamilya ko. It was Crystal from my former university, anak rin ng isa senador. "You're here. Thank goodness. I saw you arrived with Senator Sanchez."

"Yeah. It's a long story actually."

"I will guess. You're his friend."

"My boyfriend's dearest friend," deritsahan kong sabi sa kanya. Kahit na gusto kong may kausap, hindi ko talaga gusto ang ganitong topic. Fishing out information. Medyo na shock pa siya pero bigla ring nabalik sa normal.

"Oh, you have?" over react niya. I thank God for the diversion, so I would pray I survive with this. "Sobrang tagal nang hindi ka namin nakikita sa mga parties. When Shaina said, pinadala ka raw sa Cebu to study there."

"Yes. It is a good environment to study there. Walang negativity at walang toxic people. Just school pressures. No bitches," I smiled elegantly as her shock expression.

"I see. You still have your tongue intact."

Nakangiti lang ako habang tinitingnan ang pagdaan ng mga tao. People who have roles to work on for their respective people. Some of them were for the money and for business. Pili lamang ang mga taong may mabubuting hangarin dito.

Another girl approached us. Kilala ko rin ang isang ito. Si Diana. Thank God also because she was actually a political science student from our university before, a senior. Isinama niya ako noong may outreach program sila sa Samar para sa youth organization nila na naglalayung maabot ang isang goal sa 17 Sustainable Development Goals ng United Nations Org. I had tried to sign up as volunteer and I had loved it. So...kapag may appointments sila ay isa na ako sa regular volunteers nila.

She was the daughter of one of the former Vice Presidents of the country. She was also an aspiring beauty queen for she believed it would be a great help to achieve her advocacy.

"Hello, Ivory," bati niya at ganoon din ako sa kanya. Sinalubong ko ang kanyang yakap dahil mukha siyang excited. "Kumusta? You look pretty and gorgeous tonight.

"You look elegant too, Diana."

"Hindi na kita nakikita sa univesity. Totoo bang lumipat ka na sa Cebu?"
