It's a two-month time jump in this chapter. Just so you know.

Sorry for all these time jumps but something has to happen for me to enjoy writing it😅😅

Idk why, but here is what I imagen she wore during this chapter, if someone was wondering

Idk why, but here is what I imagen she wore during this chapter, if someone was wondering. (I am not good at describing clothing, so you get a picture instead.)

There's lots of laughter, talk, giggles and lots of uninteresting conversation to listen to and those who don't talk are on the dance floor.

Aegon takes a sip of his wine and whispers about some lord to Daeron and Aemond. The three of them laughed from time to time before they started to fight in a low tone again, and it was no secret that whoever they were talking about was someone who wasn't among their good list.

Alyssa sat on the chair closest to her grandsire which they were now celebrating because of his recovery. After losing his arm, he had been bedridden for a while, which explained why he didn't visit her after Aelys's birth. "You seem to be doing well, my girl."

Despite his injuries and the lack of an arm, he was his usual cheerful self. She nodded with a smile, enough that he was talking about the difficult birth. "I do, Your Grace." she put her hand on his and smiled happily. "You must see her soon, she's a wonderful little girl."

"I imagine, she'll have to share it with you and your mother."

She nodded slowly, seeing the look Alicent gave her husband. There was something in her eyes that showed dissatisfaction, but where that dissatisfaction came from, she didn't understand.

"My Queen"

Alicent's gaze was quickly on Alyssa, and her face seemed to soften slightly, "Yes, dearest?"

She smiled and looked genuinely at the older woman, "You look very beautiful tonight." This seemed to lift her spirits, which somehow reminded her of how the Queen once did her hair as a child.

"Thank you, you are a sight to behold for yourself."

The Two women both knew what they were thinking about and smiled at each other, during this time Alicent had become as dear to the Princess as a mother. Even if Aegon didin't share her love for the queen it didn't change.

The atmosphere was a nice one and the everyone seemed to be pleased with the decision to hold a small feast just to lift everyone from a sad period.

Alyssa felt for the first time after her birth beautiful and clean and it was a comfortable feeling for her and soon enough when Aegon was done with chattering with his brothers she would force him out on the dance floor.

Alicent suddenly stood up from her seat and said something to the king before she walked out of the hall. Alyssa thought no more about it and turned her attention to Helaena.
