Leahs POV

A whole season was over.
A whole season man!
Elena is favored to win the Ballon d'or.
She was crazy this season.
She won everything that could be won with Barca.
And she was the top scorer in all competitions she took part in.
But now...now it's the national break.
Do you know what I mean?
NATIONAL BREAK.
I'll see her again.
The first time after a year.
I would be lying if I said I didn't think about her every day.
But the time has come.
Finally.
I arrived at camp with Beth.
No sign of Elena.
My phone rang...it was Sarina.
Sarina:>>are you here?<<
Leah:>>yeah just arrived<<
Sarina:>>please come up to my office<<
Leah:>>oh god it's bad<<
Sarina:>>absolutely not<<
she said laughing.
Leah:>>yeah okay, I'm on my way<<
Sarina:>>yeah, wait, please bring a piece of paper and a pen<<
Leah:>>okay, see you<<
I wasn't in a good mood. I mean, I see the love of my life after a year of no contact, who would be okay with that?
I had a thousand mixed emotions.
I walked up the stairs and around the corner.
I just felt a body bump into me.
Elena: "Oh shit, I'm sorry"
My things were on the floor and she picked them up.
Elena: "I honestly didn't see you coming-"
She said laughing until she looked me in the eyes for the first time again.
Elena: "Hey..."
Oh she didn't even know she ran into me....
Her smile quickly disappeared.
Leah: "Hey"
Everything in me was shaking.
She handed me my stuff.
Elena: "sorry"
Leah: "No problem"
She smiled at me and then walked past me.
I stopped and had to realize the whole thing first.
Now I felt even worse.
Nothing is like it used to be.
Even the spark in her eye when she looked at me back then is gone.
The magic that always existed between us is gone.
How the hell is that possible?
We are like strangers.
That's exactly what I feared for 293 days.
I don't even know how she doing or if she likes it at Barca... nothing.

that was weird.
I'm so stupid...'Hey Leah, how are you?' A sentence mate it was just a sentence.
'What's it like at Arsenal?'
'Good to see you again'
I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING.
I probably could have told her in a novel how much I missed her but I was petrified.
Her beautiful eyes...I forgot how beautiful they were.
But I can't allow myself to be distracted and open up old wounds.
So I ignore...
Beth: "Mate!!!!"
Elena: "Heyyyy"
I hugged her tightly.
Elena: "I missed you so much"
Beth: "Fuck you're so good in Barcelona"
Elena: "It's easy to be good with the best team in the world"
Beth: "pfff arsenal is better and will always be"
I just laughed.
Elena: "How are Katie and Viv?"
Beth: "they waited for a message you know..."

Beth: "Yeah, she's not feeling so well..."

She said, pointing behind me.

Elena: "I'll go say hello to the others."
I quickly walked over to Keira and Lucy.

Elena: "I can't"
Keira: "Go talk to her mate"

Lucy: "Looks like feelings are coming up"

She said, calling out to Leah.
Elena: "No, mate, you can't-"
Leah: "Hey how are you?"
She said and hugged Keira
Keira: "Im good...Great to see you again"
I went back to Beth.
Beth: "You're running away"
Elena: "What?"
Beth: "You're running away from Leah"
Elena: "pfff why should I?"
Sarina: "Hey girls, here is the list of room partners"
I looked at the list for my name...

Things are getting worse and worse.
Everyone went to their room.
I slowly turned around and there was Leah.
Elena: "Here we are again"
I smiled at her.
We walked up the stairs.

Leah's POV
She didn't take my suitcase.
She always took my suitcase...
Elena: "So tell me what Arsenal is like"
Leah: "As always...just 20 times emptier without you"
Elena: "You're playing good"
Leah: "How do you know that"
Elena: "I watched your games"
Leah: "Did you miss me that much?"
I said laughing (I regretted it right after)
Elena: "Of course...you're my best friend, how should I not miss you"
She said and clapped me on the shoulder.
Oh wow best friends then.
Leah: "yeah...how is Barcelona"
Elena: "Just like I always imagined as a child... a dream"
Leah: "Mum asked a lot about you"
Elena: "yeah, we talked on the phone a lot"
Leah: "And you couldn't even send me a message?"
I said laughing
Elena: "That wouldn't be fair....Open old wounds"
Leah:,,why? I've been waiting, mate"
Elena: "Then why didn't you write to me?"
There was silence for a while.
Leah: "Yeah, you're right"
We went into the room and of course we had a bed together again.
Really strange how we used to sleep in the same bed every night and now it's uncomfortable.

Elenas POV

Elena: "I'm going over to Keira."
Leah: "yeah see ya"
I went out because I was too uncomfortable.
I honestly can't deal with it.
I knocked on Keira's door.
Keira: "Do you need anything?"
Elena: "Therapy but they don't want to give me any"
Keira: "Except that"
Elena: "A new heart"
Keira: "Why? your heart is great"
Elena: "No, it's weird"
Keira: "It's not about your heart, it's about what's in your heart that starts with L and ends with eah, right?"
Elena: "Maybe"
Keira: "Okay, come in, you're getting your therapy now."

I sat down on the sofa.
