❝The right people hear you differently.❞

Working with Ruhaan might be the worst decision I could have taken. Why? Not because I don't like his company but because I have to bear with this girl who keeps telling me about their so-called closeness every freaking time. It's even irritating to listen to it every 10 minutes. I generously said 10 minutes. It could differ.

I looked around out of boredom while sitting at Ruhaan's apartment. I was here for the song as we needed to finish writing it, but I was welcomed by his close friend. Now they are sitting before me, and she is blabbering some nonsense, which I tend to ignore grandly.

"Why don't we meet somewhere outside, Ruhaan?" I asked when things got unbearable for me.

They both watched. I raised my eyebrows while looking straight at Ruhaan Roy. He shrugged. "I don't mind. If you have any place you are thinking of, you can tell me," He said.

I nodded before speaking, "Sure. I have to look into it as well," I muttered with irritation but pressed a smile as I said sarcastically, "Fine, I will do that."

Ruhaan laughed awkwardly. "No, Ayra, I didn't mean that. I will see into places which would be convenient for us," He said.

"Very well," I said and moved my gaze to Ms. Diva. "As for insecure people, we can't do anything about them, isn't it?" I asked. She scoffed.

"Why do you think I would be insecure about you? I am doing better than you," She said. I made an impressive face. "I was on stage when you were in egg," I said and chuckled adamantly as I spoke ahead, "Are you seriously talking about the past 2 years? You are not great, Zoya. Your collections are average, and your records are the same cheesy melodies. There is nothing great. Just average."

I smirked when she started fuming. "I state facts. There is no arrogance if you want to put it that way. If you have a different opinion, then please put it," I said.

"Enough, girls," Ruhaan said. Zoya shook her head. "No, Ruh... She is being ignorant now," She said with annoyance before turning to face me again.

"Did I say anything wrong? What is your biggest achievement? That Goa Fest?" I asked with a chuckle. "So average," I said again with my unshaken gaze pointing towards her. She looked pissed. That is the only thing she could do. Because she has nothing else to prove.

"Zoya, let it be. We can talk later," Ruhaan said. She watched him in disbelief. "How can you say that? She is being disrespectful to me," she said.

I sighed deeply. "You called me here and invited her, then wasted my time. Who is being disrespectful and childish? Ask yourself first. I can drop this song even now. I don't have time for your nonsense. Do you understand?" I said while raising my voice with every word I spoke.
