❝Daddy, you have been many things to me; my cuterascalsco chauffeur, my financial support, a listener, a life mentor, a friend, a guardian, my hero...  But what I am most grateful for is that you have always been there for me whenever I have needed you.❞

I chose a pastel pink dress for my big evening party. I skipped on chunky jewellery and instead went with a delicate diamond ring. A pair of strappy silver stilettos made a perfect choice of footwear for the evening. In keeping with the romantic look, my makeup for the evening was a fresh, dewy base, complemented by a swipe of pink glitter on the eyelids and nude lips. I kept my hair lightly curled.

I was the happiest person to be alive today. My album surpassed our expectations. It broke several records and was recorded to be my best-selling album in 24 hours while breaking all the records. The headlines were pure love. People gave me many titles. I loved them all. Queen or Princess, everyone was praising my singing and writing. They said I used my time well and proved people wrong who said my time was over. I gave it back with double force.

I twirled in the corridor while making my way out and stumbled. "Easy," Mamma shouted from behind.

I watched back and smiled. She looked breathtaking wearing an off-white saree. Baba walked behind her in a black suit. "You look beautiful, doll," Mamma said. I chuckled.

"You have the best nicknames for me," I said. She moved strands away from my face with a smile. They both look happier than me. I always wished for that. I guess wishes do come true if we work hard to make them true. If we want something with our whole hearts, then we make efforts to fulfil them. I guess I wanted this more for them than myself. I was glad I could do that much.

"You look gorgeous," Baba said. I smiled further. "You look handsome, Ayaan Khanna," I said. They chuckled.

"I know. I could still charm the women," He said with a wink. "That I know," I said.

Mamma sighed while shaking her head slightly. "Avni came," She said. I made an impressive face.

"Her best friend is here. You can impress a few, Baba," I said. "I know," Baba gave me a high five.

"That's not allowed," Bhai joined us. "I am going to keep an eye now, old man. Beware if you look at anyone else than Ma," He said.

Mamma held his arm. "That's my boy," She said. Baba and I exchanged a known look.

"Let's just go, Baba," I said while holding his hand. He nodded as we made our way out.

The event venue was an open space. The tables were set from place to place. The buffet and bar were open. Food and drinks were being served to the guests. The sky looked beautiful even today as if it were set just for me. It twinkled with stars.
