I stared at myself after getting ready at 6 in the morning. It's unusual for me to wake up this early after getting drunk in the night, but somehow, my senses woke me up at 4, and I couldn't sleep ever since. I wanted to meet Ved.
I bit my lower lip. Did I screw things between us forever? If so, I won't be able to forgive myself. The nervousness kept me twisting and turning on the bed until I decided to get ready finally. We needed to leave today.
I wore a checked mini skirt and an oversized black sweater. I wore black stockings and the same coloured boots. I kept the hair straight and ditched makeup for today. I just put on a lip balm.
I sighed deeply while looking at my reflection again. "Please, don't be mad, Ved," I whispered.
I looked at the door while hearing a knock, and my heart started getting nervous. I rushed to the door to open it. I wanted to know what he was thinking. If everything was ok between us.
Disappointment might have shown on my face when I saw Bhai standing at the door. He raised his eyebrows. "Were you expecting anyone else?" He asked. I shrugged.
"I have packed everything... I guess," I said while looking around the room for one time to see if anything was left behind. I guess I was fine.
I looked ahead again. "Where are others?" I asked.
Bhai walked past me inside the room. "Everyone is ready. I was shocked to see you up this early," He said. I sighed but nodded.
"I am excited to see Dadi and Dadu," I said. He checked the room once. He always does that to see if I have gathered everything. I won't blame him as I am shabby and might have left behind things a few times in the past.
Once he was ok, he held the bags and pulled them out. "Let's go then," He said. I nodded while following him out. I stopped abruptly once I was out and froze.

"I'll take bags. Nitara was searching for you," He said. Bhai gave a nod. "Alright, I'll see you downstairs," He said in a rush and left.
I looked away when Ved watched me again. What should I do? Should I stay frozen or leave?
"Ayra, how many times do I need to tell the same thing?" He asked. I frowned as I moved my gaze to him.
"Just because you are frozen doesn't mean I can't see you," He said. I let out the breath I was holding till now. "You are not mad at me, right?" I asked and added, "Don't be angry, okay? I'll explain."
He sighed and hit my head gently. "Why would I be? Was it just you? I could have avoided it as well, considering you were drunk, but I didn't, so I am more at fault if we look at it that way," He said. I shook my head and was about to speak when Ruhaan and Zoya stopped by.
