Time may change us. But it will never change the bond we share as old friends.

I had to do a photoshoot and ad shoot right after signing the contract in the next couple of days as I would he busy later promoting my album. I had just another week in London before I flew back to Delhi.
I sat in my chair at the studio as I looked around at the arrangements. I was handed a latte and a concept script for ad shoot. I turned the pages while scanning it just for sake of it. Ved was head of marketing and advertisement. I don't need to make efforts to read it. This wouldn't have come to me without his consent anyway. I felt bored of these documents. They gave me weird feels. I never gave much thought to the notes he used to hand me in school. I remembered whatever was written in there without proof checking it. I passed all the exams with flying colours. What more consent do I need?
I looked up when he walked into the studio. The people around greeted him. He smiled at them while responding to their pleasantries and walked straight to me. I made an impressive face when he took the seat beside me. "That's surprising. How did you come to me first?" I asked.
"I have no option. You are our star brand ambassador. I need to make sure if everything was fine," He said. I smiled as I closed the script.
"That's good to hear," I said.
"Where is Kavay?" He asked. "He will come later, he said. He needed to look at an event Shaan is arranging for album release," I said and added, "Besides, you would be here. He said it would be fine if he showed up late."
Ved cleared his throat as he looked away. "Where is your team?" He asked.
"Setting up their things. They just arrived. I don't see people from your costume department, though. They came to my room to take measurements a couple of days back," I said. He nodded. "They will be here in a few moments. I won't waste your time," he said.
I scoffed. "As if I mind," I mumbled in irritation.
Just when his mother and that brother walked inside. She smiled at me as she walked towards me. I stood out of respect along with Ved. "It's good to see you again, Ayra. Thanks for agreeing to work with us," She said.
"It's my pleasure, ma'am. I went through the collections. It's as per my taste. I was happy to be here," I said genuinely. She smiled again and looked at Ved, who avoided her gaze.
"I know he would be there for you, but in case you need anything, feel free to reach me," She said. I nodded.
"Why? Are they close?" The Ryan dude spoke. Mrs. Malhotra or Mrs. Wilson or Ms. Rao, whatever it was, nodded and said ahead, "They are together from school days."
