Ayra's POV
I held onto Ved's arm as we walked out of the restaurant. "I feel so tired," I whined which he ignored. I made a face while watching his face. He was busy finding his car in the parking lot.
"That's why we have valets but you don't want that either," I complained. He glared at me before taking out the car keys. He pressed the unlock button while making a show and the car made a sound.
"Oh God, that's too far," I whined again. "The boots have high heels," I pouted at him.
"I am not going to listen to that. Walk... We have an exit on the other side so I will leave you here," He mumbled. I made an irritated face. This boy sure is the most unromantic one. He won't entertain me at all.
I had no choice but to walk to the other side of the parking. "You could have parked here," I said. He scoffed. "Yes, I would have loved to but there was no space," He commented and added, "Apparently you wanted to eat here."
"Whatever."
"Ayra." We stopped and turned around. My confused expressions were wiped off with plain ones. What does she want from me now?
Zoya walked to me and stood in the front before smiling lightly. "How have you been?" She asked.
I watched Ved, waiting for him to answer her. I was in no mood for any chitchat with traitors. He sighed. "We are good. How have you been, Zoya?" He asked.
Zoya gave a nod. "I'm fine too," She smiled at him and moved her gaze to me as she spoke ahead, "I heard your new single. It's awesome." I smirked while folding my arms over my chest.
"I know. Thanks," I said and chuckled sarcastically before adding, "So? You have a new goal to achieve now. My new song broke all of my previous records. It also achieved many milestones."
She gave a nod. "I have learnt the hard way that there is just one Ayra Khanna. She is like that moon amongst thousands of stars. Not just everyone could be like her. There is a reason people love her and that is certainly not because she is someone's daughter," She said.
I kept watching her without showing any expressions. "I wanted to say I am sorry. You were helping me out. You were taking my side. You were fighting for me but I took it the wrong way and blamed you. I stole your song but I couldn't sing it like you. I am sorry though it might not matter much this late," She said.
I heard her new album opened well. People liked her songs. I got to hear a few of them on the reels. They are all doing well.
"It's fine. I have learnt to let go now. So, it's cool but it's hard to trust people again. Thanks to you both," I said. Sadness flashed in her eyes and she immediately looked down at her hands.
