3. Slippery, be careful

Enid's POV:

I nod at what Gomez said "Alright, I'll make sure to tell her, goodnight Mr and Mrs. Addams!" I smile brightly, skipping out of the room, they both wave behind me and smile to eachother, I reach my room, all of my bags are unpacked, did Wednesday unpack them? I smile, as I look around the room, it doesn't match my aesthetic, but the decor definitely does, even the stuffed animals that Wednesday hates (which I secretly think she likes) are on the bed in the exact order they were back in Nevermore. I was so happy that Wednesday actually did something nice for me, that was a first. I laid down on the bed, it was incredibly soft, my body just sank into it, I was quite surprised, not gonna lie, I then picked my phone up and turned it on, a message from Yoko displays on the lock screen, I immediately press it and smile

I then turn my phone off and roll onto my side, closing my eyes to go to sleep, only then was I interrupted by the door swinging open, I immediately jump a bit and look at the door "Oh, you're going to sleep? I'll come tomorrow then" Wednesday says, as I throw a pillow at her "You almost scared me to death, you dumbass!" "Don't. Call. Me. That." She glared at me with a cold gaze in her eyes, I gulped slightly "Sorry, you just scared me.. what did you need?" I ask, as she stares at me for a moment, before grabbing the pillow and putting it back on my bed "I wanted to ask you if you'd like me to show you around tomorrow" "And you couldn't wait till the morning to tell me this?" I roll my eyes, closing them and pulling the soft blanket over my body, when she suddenly yanked it off "What the fuck is your problem? I'm giving you a place to stay and you're giving me this attitude?" She says in an angry tone, I look at her in shock, her sudden outburst had definitely surprised me "S-Sorry, Wednesday, I-I didn't think you'd react like that..." I mumble, looking up at her with glossy eyes

"No, don't cry, I'm sorry" She says in an apologetic tone, I smile immediately at her words "It's okay!" I say in an overly happy tone, this was almost the first time she's ever apologized, I was definitely happy about that "So, are you gonna go to sleep?" I asked, pulling the blanket over myself again, she gave me a slight nod "Yes, I'll be going to sleep now, I-If you need me, I'll be in my room" she then quickly walks out, the hell? Did Wednesday Addams just stutter? Is she nervous? Impossible! I decided to not think about it too much, as I laid back down and closed my eyes, finally falling asleep.

-The next morning-

My precious sleep was very rudely interrupted by Wednesday coming into my room "Get up and get ready" she commanded, wearing a pair of black long shorts and an oversized black and white sweater with a black jacket on top, I looked at the time on my phone '5:40AM' "What the hell?! It's 5AM!" I raise my voice, I was annoyed that she woke me up so early "So? Perfect time to show you around" "Not when it's 5 in the fucking morning, Wednesday!" Her eyes softened a little bit, as she sat down on the edge of my bed "I said I'm gonna give you a tour, so let's go" I rolled my eyes "Can't we do this later?" "You know I can just kick you out, right?" Her eyes went back to normal, as she said that, getting up from my bed, I groaned, as I stood up, rubbing my eyes lightly "Fine, give me a minute to get ready" She nodded, waking out of my room, closing the door behind her. I walked over to the desk in the corner of the room and looked at myself in the mirror, I decided to go easy on the makeup today, turning on a song I like (Play song at the top)

Wednesday's POV:

I wait patiently for Enid to get ready, she was playing some song that peeked my curiosity, it sounded nice, though it wasn't exactly my taste, I decided to turn my phone on, a message popping up on the lock screen, it was from the same unknown number that messaged me when I left Nevermore, it was a picture of me sitting in my parents' car. Suddenly, Enid came out of her room all ready, I quickly hid my phone, I didn't want her to know that someone was stalking me, as that would make her worried "Ready to go?" I asked, she smiled and nodded "Yep!" We then started walking down the stairs, as I was taking her to different rooms, telling the purpose of each of them, then we walked out of the house, it was snowing rather heavily outside, so it might be slippery, I first decided to show her the garden we had in our backyard, we soon got to it "So.. this is my mother's garden, she loves flowers" I didn't really know what else to say about it, it was a simple garden with lots of different kinds of flowers. I then went to show her the place where I usually tortured Pugsley, she smiled nervously the whole time we were at that place, it was a small room filled with different kinds of weapons, after I showed her all around the back and front yards, finally finishing the tour, it was already 7:30AM, so it was close to breakfast

"We should probably be heading back inside now, it's cold out" I say, as we start walking towards the front door, there was a small set of stairs we had to climb to get to the door, as soon as we reached it, Enid suddenly slipped, causing her to stumble backwards and of course, I fall down the stairs too, I hit my back multiple times, finally landing on the ground, she fell on top of me, so she avoided most of the fall "Ouch." I expressed with little emotion, though my back hurt like hell, Enid immediately stood up "Oh my god, Wednesday, are you okay?" She helped me stand up and I just kind of brushed it off "I'm fine" I say, walking back inside the house, it didn't take long for me to lean against the wall "Are you sure you're okay?" "No." I grunted out, I of course didn't want to tell her that my back hurts because of her. "Uhh... MR AND MRS. ADDAMS?!" She yelled and both of my parents arrived at the room shortly after

"What happened?" My father asks, looking at me with concern in his eyes "Are you okay, my little ray of darkness?" I just kinda let out a grunt, he grabs my arm and starts walking up the stairs, leading me to my room, my mother sighed in concern, following after and so did Enid. He then made me lay down on my bed "So, what happened?" My mother asks "W-Well, I slipped and fell on top of Wednesday and she.. she said she's fine, but I-" Enid starts staring at her feet, the guilt clear on her face "There's no need to feel guilty, dear. It's not your fault that you slipped" My father says, as he then looks at me "She might've hit her back, I'd suggest she stays in bed for sometime" "What? No, I'm not staying in bed, I'm fine." I reply, giving my father an annoyed look "Wednesday, I really think you should, plus, it's not big deal! I'll help you eat, drink and everything else" Enid says, sitting down on the edge of my bed, she stares at me with guilt in her eyes "And how long would this "bed rest" last?" I try to cross my arms, but it hurt way too much, so I just let them fall at my sides "A few days, I think. Maybe only a day, we'll have to see, viper"
