11. Returning

Wednesday's POV:

I glared at my father with annoyance, the curse was supposed to be a secret that we couldn't share with anyone that is not an Addams "Father, that we cannot tell." I stated, making sure to keep my tone sharp "Aw, come on, death trap, it's really not that big of a deal. Plus, I'm sure she won't tell anyone, right, dear?" He looked at Enid, who nodded and smiled "I would never! Your secret's safe with me!" The lycan stated proudly, as I rolled my eyes at her, knowing she can't keep secrets. "Seriously, don't tell this to anyone" I say "I won't, I promise!" "You better not, or I'll get a tiger to eat your insides while you're still alive" "You.. you wouldn't actually do that, right?" She had a rather nervous smile on her face, letting out an anxious chuckle "If you don't tell anyone, then no" Her face eased up a bit and went back to her natural smile

"When are we leaving exactly?" The she-wolf asks "When you finish eating" "Oh, in that case we can go now!" She stands up happily "Okay. Do you have your stuff packed?" "Of course, who do you think I am?" She rolled her eyes and I did too "You girls are leaving so soon?" My mother asked, keeping a neutral expression on her face "Yes, mother" "Okay, then. I'll make sure to inform Lurch about that" She says, before standing up and making her way towards the front door, where she walks outside. Not long after, she walks back in, a pleasant look on her face "You two can go, Lurch is ready in the car" "Thank you, mother" I thanked my mother, as we all walked out of the house and towards the car, I sat down and Enid sat beside me, my parents were sitting across from us, keeping up their 'loving couple' facade, which I hated. I was not looking forward to going back. "I'm so excited to go back! Also pretty nervous.." the lycanthrope exclaimed, as I watched her movements "You already mentioned that" "Really? When?" "When my father was talking and asking you questions, dumbass" My response might've been harsh, but I didn't care, her question was obvious and stupid. "This ride is gonna be over three hours long."

"That's why I came prepared!" She smiles, taking out her tablet from one of her bags "What is that" I asked, scanning the big, square-like shaped thing "It's an iPad, it's like a phone but bigger" I guess it did make sense, as it did look like a phone and it had the same apple logo on the back as my phone. Speaking of my phone, I haven't gotten any messages from unknown today, which is a good sign. Enid was playing some type of game, which I didn't know, but was pretty interested in "What game is that?" I ask, she looks at me and smiles again "It's basically a game where you have to hunt animals for food and then you, like, make the food" the she-wolf had some trouble explaining the terms of the game, but I pretty much understood it

"Wanna play it?" The lycan asked, handing me the so called 'iPad', I carefully held it in my hands and tapped on the screen, not fully knowing what I was doing

Enid's POV:

It was cute watching Wednesday be so invested in the game, although she was almost oblivious as to what's happening, at least she had something to keep her busy while we were driving to Nevermore. Following last semester's events, I was a bit nervous, I had a feeling this semester is gonna be better and I hope it will be. "You know, you look cute like that" I nudge her with my elbow, giving her a smile, to which she rolled her eyes "Don't call me that, ever." "Oh come on, you know you looked cute, Wens" "Wens?" "Yeah, it's a nickname for you, you know, 'cause your name's long!" I smile again, as she seemed a bit confused, I sighed "A nickname is basically your name, but shortened" She looked at me like I was crazy "Don't call me that again, or I'll skin you alive and donate your skin to science." "Honey, that's not very nice" Morticia said, Gomez kissing her hand intimately

My smile faded a bit, I was looking forward to calling her that more often, but I was willing to respect her wishes and not push her boundaries, I decided to change the topic "Are you enjoying the game?" I asked, as she nodded her head lightly, I smiled again, I figured she'd like it since it's about hunting, a topic she was interested in "Does your stomach still hurt, my little dead rose?" Gomez asked, looking at Wednesday, as he was refering to the place she was stabbed, she shook her head "No. I do not feel any discomfort whatsoever" "That's great to hear, and guess what?" Both Wednesday and I looked at Gomez, as he opened his bag, Thing crawling out of it "Thing!" I smiled, as he tapped out Hello, Enid. "Thing is finally back from his vacation, which means he'll be able to accompany you this semester too"

"Feels good to have my slave back" If Thing had eyes, he'd roll them at the raven's statement Nice to see you too, Wednesday He signed, settling down onto her lap What are you playing? "A hunting game" On Enid's iPad? "Yes, so what?" "My little raven-headed spider, don't forget to text us when you're at Nevermore, looking at the fact that you now have a phone" Gomez said, planting another kiss on Morticia's knuckles, I can see why Wednesday hated these car rides so much, their behaviour was making me a bit uncomfortable "Lurch, remind my parents that I'm no longer speaking to them" Lurch let out a zombie-like groan in response and kept on driving, the weather outside wasn't the best, it was raining and a quiet thunder rumbling could be heard in the distance, perfect weather according to Wednesday

"I wonder when Yoko and Bianca are gonna get there" I mumbled to myself, they were supposed to leave a bit later than us, that's why Morticia left the house unlocked, I just hope they get there safely. The psychic eventually got bored of playing on my iPad and gave it back to me, I took so earphones out of my back pocket and inserted them into the hole of my tablet, opening Spotify and playing a playlist of TV Girl's songs (🙂)
