15. Feelings

Wednesday's POV:

I gave her a short and dry reply, before going back to eating, I don't know why, but I felt a sense of dread wash over me when she said she's going on a date tomorrow. I didn't understand why I felt like this, but I knew for a fact that I didn't want her around that 'Casey' guy, I quickly finish eating the food she bought me, it was good. "Do you wanna do something fun maybe?" "My idea of fun is going to a cemetery and digging up a body" "Yeah, no, we're not doing that." Enid shook her head playfully and walked over to my side of the room, before flopping down on my bed "I miss this dorm so much, I'm glad we're back... Kinda sad I missed your cello playing tonight" "Shouldn't have gone to that party then." I gave her a straightforward answer and turned back around "Did you like the food and drink?"

"Yes, I did quite like it. The muffins tasted delicious and the drink was great." She smiled at my comment "Oh, okay, I'll make sure to buy it more often then" She says, keeping the smile on her face "Weems won't let you off the school grounds again, no?" I raise a brow "It's okay, I'll just buy some here, they updated the cafeteria's menu, so there's like new really tasty stuff" I nodded "Okay, I'll accept that then." She smiled again, sitting up with her knees up to her chest "Are you gonna do anything right now?" I glance at her through the corner of my eye, it was a weird phrased question "No, why?" "Wanna play Minecraft with me? Please? I can also invite Yoko, then we could all play together" I shook my head "No, I don't waste time on meaningless stuff like video games" "Aw, come on.. It's gonna be fun, I promise, I'll teach you how to play"

"I know how to play, Thing and Pugsley have forced me to play it with them over the break." "Oh! Really? That's perfect then! Can we pretty please play? I'm really boreeeed" I looked at her, as she gave me puppy dog eyes, I sighed "Fine. But not for too long, I still have to get back on my novel" "Yay!" She squealed with pure happiness, it was honestly amusing to watch. She grabbed her phone from her pocket and turned it on, I opened 'Minecraft' on my phone and waited for her to create a 'Server'. "Okay, join me now" she says, as I press on her name and the game starts loading, I soon appear in a pixelated, block world. A moment or two later, a figure appears, 'Yoko' floating on top of their head "Yoko agreed to play" The lycan says, flashing me a smile to which my stomach felt weird, like spiders were crawling inside it. I didn't like it.

We started playing the game in peace and (almost) silence, it was often interrupted by Enid talking and Yoko answering, since they're on a call. "Give me the wood logs, I'm gonna build us a house" The vampire says over the phone, as Enid's character drops out 24 tree logs. I was currently hunting for food, killing every single animal I saw and I was enjoying it greatly, although I wish it could be a real-life situation, the sound of them dying makes me wanna scream in joy. "Wendy, come back, it's almost night, we can't sleep if you're not" The wolf states, as I swipe my fingers across the screen, turning myself around and running back towards the (starting to build) house, Yoko and Enid were both in beds, as I jumped over to mine and pressed on it.

Our little 'game session' ended in about twenty minutes, well, at least for me. It was my writing time, but Enid and Yoko kept playing together, I stood up and walked over to my desk, where my typewriter was. I sat down on my chair and put my fingers on the keys, thinking of how I should start this chapter, I got an idea and started tapping away at the keyboard, my thoughts kept getting interrupted by Enid somehow appearing on my mind, which was weird, why was I thinking of her? Right, I have a phone, can't I just Google an answer? I think for a moment, before grabbing my phone from my desk, turning it on. I pressed on the white search box and typed in: 'Why am I thinking of my best friend?', a text appeared in a gray box: 'Our minds often gravitate towards the people who have made a significant impact on our lives, especially if they are close friends or family members. Your best friend likely holds a special place in your heart, and it's normal to find yourself thinking about them frequently, you likely have a crush. Come find out with our test today!'

How stupid I think to myself, as I press on a blue text, which leads me to a different screen, a big green button with 'Start the test' is displaying. I click on it and the screen switches again, there's a total of 10 questions.. I end the test in about a minute or less 'Congratulations! You have a crush on your best friend, go confess your love in the best way possible ;)' Is what the website said next, I stared at the screen and could feel anger building up inside my stomach, I do not permit such feelings as 'Love', this test is stupid, I don't have a crush on Enid! God, I don't have feelings, this is stupid. This test was probably fake anyways, yet I still was worried, I don't want to have feelings, especially those kind of feelings, it's not in my nature. I sigh, as I hear Enid giggle and continue talking with Yoko, I turn my attention back to my typewriter, before I start to type again

I have finished around 8 pages of the new chapter of my second novel, it's a second part of the one I finished last semester. In the corner of my eye, I see Thing on Enid's bed, looking at some type of journal, while Enid was still on my bed, I checked the time, it was around 9pm, almost time when the lights go off. This semester, we got a little set of new rules and one of them was that the lights turn off automatically at 9:30pm. And turn on at 6:30am..

Y'all is this boring to read??😭😭 It's been 15 parts which is a lot for me and like idk if this is fun or/and interesting to read
