21. Abandoned house

Wednesday's POV:

We were finally at the cemetery after half an hour, I remove my backpack and set it on the ground, opening it and searching through the stuff I've packed. I grab a flashlight and turn it on "Bruh, you really prepared for this? Damn" The vamp says, rolling her eyes, I close my backpack and swing it back on my shoulders. I shine the light at each grave, looking for a specific last name, I didn't tell anyone, but I'm actually suspicious of Casey, he's a new student and there's no information about him. I remember that his last name is Hernandez, so maybe if I find a grave with that last name, it'll give me some information about him. In the distance, I spot a weird looking, I'm guessing, abandoned house "Let's go to that house" I say, as Enid looks at me in disbelief

"Are you crazy? First, you want to go to a cemetery and then you wanna explore an abandoned house? What's this? A horror movie?" The wolf scoffs, showing her clear dislike for the idea "You can stay here then, I'm going." I reply, starting to walk towards the house "Ugh! You're so annoying" she groans, following after me "Why are we going there though? How is that gonna help you with your stalker?" Yoko asks, Divina walking beside her "I'm curious" I say, as I reach the front door and turn the doorknob, it's locked. I shine the light at the house, looking for another way to get inside, I notice a broken window and walk over to it. I move the spiderwebs from the way and slowly crawl inside the house through the window, I stand up in what seems like a living room, I turn around to help the others get in and once everyone is inside, I shine the flashlight around the room, scanning everything I see. There's a bunch of old family photos on the walls

I walk over to one of the pictures and look into it, it looks like an ordinary picture, besides the fact that the glass is broken. It seems like it has been shot at, I look at the other pictures and they all have shattered glasses, a bullet hole in the same place in each of them. "That's pretty creepy.." Enid whimpers, as I look at the rest of the room, it looks untouched, dust covering everything, so it must've been abandoned for a long time. I start to walk towards, what seems like a hallway, as I hear something crack under my foot, I look down and notice a bottle of liquid, which is now spilled on the ground. I ignore it and continue walking, reaching the long hallway, the wallpapers were ripped off and dirty "You know, maybe this isn't such a great idea" The siren mumbles, looking around the hall, it seemed pretty creepy, but so did the whole house and the smell was weird, like rotting flesh.

I open one of the three doors, revealing a bedroom, belonging to a girl, judging by the stuff inside. I shine my flashlight around the room, scanning every item my eyes lay on. In the middle of the room stands a bed, a desk in front of it, I decide to walk over to the desk, the drawers were fully open, like someone was looking for something in here. The smell got worse, I was starting to get a little sick, but decided to keep exploring. My eyes laid upon a small, pink box, I opened it, revealing a small mirror with a spinning ballerina in front of it, tiny letters 'LH' were carved into the box. I frowned, as I thought about the possibilities of what this could mean. I looked at the back of the box and noticed the full name, Lauren Hernandez. "Look! Isn't that Casey's last name?" I say, as Enid walks over to me and nods "Y-Yeah, that is! Does that mean it was his family's house?" "No, probably a relative's.. She's probably dead now, maybe she was an aunt or a grandmother." Then,  something else caught my attention, a wardrobe. The door was halfway open, so I decided to walk closer to it, the smell getting worse and worse, I felt myself about to throw up from the foul smell, but swallowed it and shined my light into the closet

I caught a glimpse of what was inside and I saw a head, maggots and bugs crawling inside it, the eyes were carved out, the maggots crawling out of the eye sockets. I opened the door, revealing the rest of the body, which was covered in blood, the organs ripped out and sprayed across the closet. I looked at what seemed like a liver, glued to the wall, the intestines wrapped around the hands, locking them together, it looked fresh, like the person has been killed not that long ago, it was a lot, even for me. I immediately backed away from the closet, tripping on something and stumbling backwards in the process, Enid rushed to my side, helping me stand up "Woah, what happened? What's in there?" She asks, as I hold back the urge to vomit "It's best if we get out of here, quick." I say, as I turn around and quickly make my way to the door. "What's happening? Wednesday, tell me" She asks again, as I ignore her and try to get out of the house as quick as I can

"Seriously, what's going on?" Yoko joins in, as I shake my head "Let's just go, I'll explain once we're back, we have to get out of here" I start walking faster, looking around the house "Okay, you're creeping me out, what's wrong? What did you see?" Enid asks once again, as the sound of glass shattering echoes through the house, I immediately freeze in my tracks, standing still in place Shit, what am I supposed to tell them? What was that sound? We've got to get out of here I think to myself "Someone's in here with us, we're not alone." I hear the wolf whimper in fear, as Yoko and Divina both look uneasy "Where ya hiding, kiddos? I just wanna talk to ya" A voice fills the silence, as I get chills down my whole body, the three of them look absolutely terrified, as the person who just talked starts laughing maniacally. I immediately push them to signalize that we need to run, luckily, they understood the assignment and quickly turned to the opposite direction of the voice and started running

My heart was beating extremely fast and I thought it was gonna burst out of my chest, I followed after them, as we ran through the house, looking for a way out "This is officially how we die, fuck you, Wednesday!" Enid whisper-yells in an angry tone, as I spotted a dumbwaiter "Come on!" I yell, as I run towards it, opening it, the lift wasn't there and it looked like it was leading to the basement, I quickly jump down and land in an underground garage rather than the basement, I look up at them "Jump! Come on, hurry up!" They all jump down, except for Enid, who seems too scared "Enid, it's not that high! I'll catch you" I yell, as I stretch my arms out she finally jumps, landing in my arms, I quickly set her on the ground and run into the garage "Look!" Yoko shouts, pointing to a small window, which leads to the outside, I nod and lock my hands together again, letting Enid climb up first, she opens the window and crawls out. It was already starting to get lighter outside, which means we have a risk of getting caught by the principal.

The rest of us manage to climb out, now standing outside "What the hell was that?! Why did I ever agree to go anywhere with you?!" Enid started yelling, clearly scared shitless "At least we're safe now, let's get back to the school.." Yoko says, as we all nod and start running down the same path we came from

We were finally at the fence we climbed over to get there. I, again, gave Enid a boost and she climbed over it, helping the rest of us "This was the worst hang out ever! Why on earth did you want to explore that creepy ass house?!" Enid yells at me, scared and pissed off at the same time "We could've died! Who knows what would've happened if that person found us, how can you be so stupid, Wednesday?!" She was on the verge of tears, probably from the shock she's just experienced.

Anyways kinda a cliffhanger ig?
Idk if I should make them have a little fight cuz enid's mad at weds and yk
