12. Weems is alive

Noone's POV:

They finally arrived at Nevermore, as Lurch stopped the car in front of the school, the four of them got out, Lurch grabbing their heavy bags from the trunk and setting them onto the ground "Well, here goes another semester at this wonderful school, my death trap" Gomez said to his daughter, wrapping his arms around her in an unwanted hug, to which Enid giggled at the girl's reaction. The taller Addams sighed, looking down at her daughter "Please be careful this semester. There's a surprise waiting for you two when you walk into the school, so why don't you two go see it?" She handed Thing to the raven, it carefully resting in her hands. Her mother blew imaginary kisses on both of her cheeks, before saying her goodbyes and heading back into the car.

The two girls were left alone, as they grabbed their bags and started walking towards the entrance of the school, the car drove away. As the girls entered the school, the surprise was standing right in front of them, just like Morticia said..

Wednesday's POV:

My eyes widened in surprise, as I saw principal Weems standing in front of us, I glanced at Enid to see if I was the only one seeing this, her reaction was the same "Principal Weems?!" The lycan yelled out, as the tall shape-shifter smiled "Hello, girls, I've decided to greet you two for the new semester here" "But you- you died!" The wolf's voice quivered with confusion and excitement "The doctors managed to save my life, I have thanked them individually. I am very glad to be this school's principal once again" Enid swung her arms around the woman, a big smile on her face "Principal Weems, we really thought you died!" I was a bit skeptical, I witnessed Weems' death, yet she was standing in front of me

Something wasn't right here, I stared at her, was this a shape-shifter pretending to be her? "Wednesday, I know this is a lot for you to take in, but I am in fact real, not an impostor" My eyebrows shot up in surprise when she suddenly spoke, distracting me from my thoughts "There's also something I'd like to talk about with you two, but not here. We need to go somewhere where ears and eyes wouldn't be watching us" Larissa stated, as she started walking through the hallways, me and Enid both followed, confusion written over our faces, as we didn't understand what she meant by 'Eyes watching us'. We soon reached the principal's office and walked in, it hasn't changed since the last time I've been here, we sat down on the other side of the table, across from Weems. "What is it that you wanted to tell us, Principal Weems?" The lycan asked "You girls can call me Larissa, I'll allow it. Now, the thing I wanted to talk about is your guys' safety. I'm sure you both remember what happened last semester, so, to make sure it doesn't happen again, you two will not be involved in any dangerous situation, which means you'll be watched" "What? But that's insane!" Enid frowned, as her jaw tensed

"Please, calm down and let me explain. To keep you girls safe, I cannot allow you to get into any dangerous situations, which means extra protection, you won't be leaving the school grounds, you can't go to Jericho and you can't talk to anybody who's not a student at the Nevermore Academy." "But that's just not fair! Why is it only us?" "It is not only you two, others will be protected the same way you are, you may not be watched, if you wish not to be, but you absolutely cannot leave the school grounds and talk to normies" Weems explained, as my eyes widened a tiny bit. If I couldn't leave the school grounds, how will I catch my stalker? This was stupid "You two may be excused" We both stood up and walked out of the room, dragging our bags along with us "Can you believe that? How unfair!" Enid whined, while I didn't say anything and continued walking towards Ophelia hall, where our dorm was.

As we walked in, most of Enid's stuff was still there, the window was also still divided, but our room was not anymore. I quietly walked over to my side of the room and set my bags on my bed, starting to unpack my stuff By who would you be watched? Thing signed, as I shrugged "I don't know. A guard of some kind I guess" I set my typewriter on my desk and looked over at the window, I haven't had the chance to play my cello over the break, luckily - I have packed it with me, which meant that I'd be able to play it every night, like I used to last semester. I carefully took it out of the case and laid it on my bed, before unfolding the stand, I set it in the corner of my side, putting the cello onto it "I completely forgot that you had a cello! Why haven't you played it?" Enid asked, standing almost right behind me "Because you were a distraction and I had no time to play, because of you" She rolled her eyes at my obvious guilt-tripping "Oh, shut up, it's not even my fault"

"Are you gonna play over the time we're here?" She asked, as I nodded and went quiet for a moment "I am" I gave an answer and continued unpacking, when my phone suddenly vibrated in my pocket, I reached out and took it out. A new message from my stalker was displaying on the screen, I clicked on it

Unknown: You're finally back at Nevermore, I'll give you a hint of who I am:) I am a student at Nevermore, be prepared Addams.

Wednesday: Giving a description of yourself is a bad idea, stalker. Now I know how to find out who you are.

Unknown: Oh, it's not that easy, Wednesday. I thought you were smarter, did you really think I'd give the hint in order to make you find out easier? No, I'm just giving you a reason to look out for yourself and your wolf.

Wednesday: Don't get Enid involved into this. She didn't do anything to you, therefore she is not a threat.

Unknown: I know how much you care about her, so she's gonna be my first target, be prepared.

I stared at my screen, rethinking the whole conversation with Unknown, they're a student at Nevermore, that means I need to look for someone who looks suspicious, a loner, or using their phone a lot. I hated the fact that they'll get Enid involved, she doesn't deserve any of this, she isn't a threat to them or anything. I then put my phone away on my nightstand and turned around to see Enid getting ready to leave "Where are you going?" I asked. "Oh, Yoko is arriving soon, so we're both gonna go to Divina's for a party. Wanna come?" I thought about it for a moment, wondering if I should go or not "No, thank you" I replied, as she smiled, said bye and left the dorm. Were you planning to go? Thing signed, as I rolled my eyes and sighed "No. I have way more important things to do."

Looked like you wanted to go Thing tapped, if he had a neck, I'd strangle it. "How do you tell someone without a mouth to shut up?" Okay, sorry, Wednesday. Have you figured out who has been harassing you? I shook my head, as I walked over to my 'Crime wall' and stared at it, I had put some pictures of the places I've seen someone watching me.
