Sometimes I wonder; when you sleep
Are you ever dreaming of me?
Sometimes when I look into your eyes
I pretend you're mine, all the damn time
'Cause I like you
Is it cool that I said all that?
Is it chill that you're in my head?
'Cause I know that it's delicate (Delicate)
Yeah, I want you(Delicate by Taylor Swift)
J A N A K I
We spent nearly 2.5 hours on our first date, having our own time in the fair. The city was unique in it's own way, the people here seemed hardworking despite being well off.
The passion was bubbling and was something that could be felt by any visitor as the simplicity of the fair we went to, but be it the ferry wheel operator, the seasonal vegetable and fruit sellers or the saree vendor and even the aged gajra seller were all carrying a drive to make an impact in this world. The ferry wheel operator found passion in seeing the joy of children enjoying the ferry ride, the vegetable seller in keeping the health of the buyers in check, the saree vendor who simply made profit out of women's love for varied styles of textiles and shopping or the gajra seller who sold people the most vital of all reminder of love. When Raghav made me run in saree and my Mary Jane heels I thought the man would make me fall head first on the ground only for him to say that if I fall he wouldn't let me fall alone and I knew he didn't mean the actual falling.
But it all started getting real when he made me blush so hard while buying that beautiful gajra for me that I needed to use his embrace from preventing him to see his effect on me. But that smug handsome hulk knew it all too well.
While we were returning he insisted a lot that we should have something to eat but I didn't want that because I didn't want to waste any moment in eating and not knowing more about him. He had me curious. And he didn't need to know that, he was arrogant enough.
That night I was too tired to eat anything I just wanted to sleep, so I told Raghav that I have a very important meeting with the bar councilor which wasn't entirely false but it was something I had already prepared for.
The days went by like this, working on the land case, gathering all the evidences as the hearing was near, she had a good time in the palace though she was feeling a bit left out and lonely in the huge Mahal as she hadn't seen Raghav for 5 days.
She didn't know where he was or what he was doing or wearing. Did she miss being around him? Yeah a tad bit as he has started understanding her true worth. He had been treating her like a real man should. He gifted things to her, whispered sweet nothings for her, even when they weren't in any relationship. So she felt that he deserved her. She felt that maybe he was the man of her dreams. But lately in the span of 5 days, all her expectations were crashing she didn't know anything anymore. She felt that he had left her hanging with hope.
The spark they had developed was slowly loosing it's shine because she was upset at him for not even texting or calling her, or that she was probably expecting too much from him.
Maybe Raghav didn't like her after their first date, but for her the date was sweet and lovely, can't be said the same for him.And she knew that she wasn't in a state to complain as they were dating to get to know each other better. This all was her idea and she knew very well that he wasn't obliged to text or call her though they had more than just a date between them.
