The tedious day finally vowed to come to an end. To say that now I am Mrs. Janakidevi Bhaal Singhania, is like a puff to my chest. Our interaction through rippling reflections on the pond's water of the Rajmahal was so poetic while simultaneously texting each other was true and felt like we had finally reached a point where we both were now comfortable enough to share and be there for one another when in need, the bond between us was so solidified and conspicuous that now I can even feel when she is in my vicinity or not, its like she soothes down the tension in the air. One touch of hers, one gaze from her and all the strain in my shoulders gets withered away as if she has a magic wand which she seems to roam around me to put me under her spell.

When she texted me that she was nervous, I couldn't think of anything at the moment that would help her nerves to calm down, just then my gaze fell on two of my nieces running around the periphery of mandap and an idea to send them as my messengers struck me.

So I asked Aditya to call them, who didn't call them, instead carried them towards where I was sitting. This guy!

I called Matteo and he trudged towards me with the same passive and cold expression on his face.

"Do you need something?" He asked in his Italian cum Indian accent.

"Yes, perhaps by any chance are you carrying any chocolate like you do all the time?" I asked him. Since this broody and ruthless mafia best friend of mine had an absurd habit of carrying a chocolate around always.

He furrowed his brows but nonetheless took out a Cadbury Silk from his pant's pockets.

I smiled looking at my saviour and his rescue.

I took the chocolate from his forwarded hand and handed it over to my elder niece.

"If you both could go and give this to your Bua sa then I will give each of you a chocolate bigger than this, now tell me are you going to give this to her?" I said in a cute child-like voice.

"You will give the big chocolate to us, pakka?" The younger one, Anusuiya asked.

I pinched my neck and replied,"Pakka, Anu, promise."

She looks at her elder sister, who nodded her head while the latter snatched the chocolate from my hand and began running down the mandap causing me to chuckle at her habits.

When the girls later returned in a joyous mood I got the idea that they had done the job, but little did I know that followed by them, would be my bride entering in a doli as I heard the trumpets started blowing indicating about her grand arrival. At the moment, I really hated the white silk cloth separating us, I just was craving for her one look. Then when the trumpets stopped blowing, and I heard the traditional marwari music playing in the background I got the idea that she had descended down from the doli even though I couldn't see her, just one more minute and one more small ritual then she will all be mine to admire.

I stood on my toes to look at the other side of the curtain, but when the Pandit Ji cleared his throat I stood back on my feet properly, I didn't need Janaki to know that I was peeping at her through the curtain or else she would never make me forget this moment till my last breath, not that I wanted to forget it, but still.

And when finally the curtain was lifted, I felt like I was in a golden paradise. The way my jaw dropped on the floor, looking at her all adorned in golden lehenga-choli with heavy golden pearl jewellery adorning her neckline, with her face covered in a red veil, I looked into her pitch black night-like eyes and I started," "To érma mou, you... " but I couldn't believe my eyes so I needed to close them and breathe thus so I continued to recite the poetry of her allure, beauty and bewitchment.
