J A N A K I

After the seminar ended, both me and Raghav were picked up by thr his hotel's driver and we sat un the luxurious Benz.

The ride was silent yet comfortable,
Raghav was skimming some documents while I had rolled my window down to gaze at Delhi in night time which was a sight to behold.

People having the time of their lives, at the food stalls. Laughing, feeding their loved ones, while some gazed at the historical monuments that could be viewed due to their height from the roadside.

I had set my hair free as whenever I had tied my hair for long I would end up having headache the next day. So currently my hair were blowing all across my face due to the air and I was enjoying it.

Raghav's gruff voice broke my trance
"Were you bored today at the seminar?"

I turn to look at him and find that he has finished reading those documents and hence I mutter,"No, I didn't get bored. Actually I enjoyed bathing in the glory of your shine. Your grace like a king, was a sight to behold. For a man whose dream was not to be a businessman, you do business quite well."

He doesn't respond for a beat, instead he just stares at me while inhaling deeply and then very meekly smiles at me before turning his gaze towards the window. If I hadn't been already looking at him for a response then I would think that he had slept.

I smile at him in return. His somewhat desperate eyes have a tornado of emotions flashing through them. Mostly questions which I wish he would ask me. The grey of his eyes gradually being gruesomely consumed by the black of his irises.

So instead I ask him,"What happened Raghav?"

He doesn't answer so I press a bit.
"Is everything alright? Did you lose a business deal? Did someone say something that they shouldn't have? Did I do anything wrong?"

He looks at me again and merely shakes his head in a no. And blinks once assuring me that it's not what I think.

But then what is it? I don't want him to suffer alone in his mind. I want him to share whatsoever he thinks. I don't want him to feel like he is alone in this world. Sometimes when we express ourselves, the emotions, the hurt, the dark side, the rage, the turmoil, the agony, we often are judged and advised instead of being heard and understood. We are told to do this or that, to go on, to move on. But these people who tell us all these things think that we have forgotten what has to be done and why it has to be done instead we really need someone to tell us how it has to be done.

So I just decide to give him time and space to come around as I didn't want to sound intrusive.

We reach his hotel and are greeted the receptionist who informs us that the whole VIP suites of the hotel have been booked for a wedding except one suite.

And currently Raghav is trying to persuade his manager to arrange another suite for me.

The manager tells him,"Sir, I am really sorry that you are the owner and you can't get an extra suite but that's due to our hotel's criteria of preferring guests over board of directors or owners, which you yourself have applied."

I tug at his tuxedo's sleeve and drag him,"Its alright Raghav I don't need a VIP suite a regular room would be okay for me."

He looks at me while tugging my hair behind my ears and says,"Exactly, I don't want your first stay in one of my hotels to be in a regular room. You will stay in a VIP suite. Umm is it alright if you stay with me in my room? The suite is quite big and I would let you sleep on the bed."
