Aditya and Chandani's wedding will be shown properly in their book - The Elite Pride (Its you and me that's my whole world)
Sorry for the late update! But this was a very difficult chapter to write.
J A N A K I
The rest of the car ride was silent. I was gazing at the night sky adorned with tiny silver dots. The music box of the car was playing a beautiful Hindi song called Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. In short Maasa's favourite song, she loved this song a lot. Why? Because Baba sa sang this song the very first time they met in the garden located in my mother's maternal home i.e. the Chittorgarh Palace. I was missing my parents a lot. So I started singing along Amit Kumar ji.
Bade achhe lagte hain (2x)
(Its all so beautiful)
Kya?
(What?)
"Yeh dharti, yeh nadiyaan, yeh raina ..." A melodic voice sang along with me and I snapped my head in that direction only to find my husband singing with a content look on his face. His amazing voice only added to his charm and I couldn't help but smile at him.
(This earth, this river, this night ...)
"Aur?" I asked eagerly looking at him waiting for an answer.
(And?)
"Aur tum." he replied while looking at me.
(And you)
I couldn't help but blush profusely at his open declaration, I leaned my head on the window of the car and continued admiring him until my eyes started feeling heavy and I dozed off to dream about a certain 6'3 grey eyed man who happened to be my husband.
I felt someone lifting me and when a familiar musky scent entered my senses I smiled automatically and leaned my head on his chest, a soft and normal thud of his heartbeat lulling me to sleep. Thank god, his heart isn't beating wildly like it did when I felt it in the elevator of the hotel.
Later I felt my back touching something soft and I found myself cherishing the softness of the mattress which dipped beside me and I finally drifted back to sleep.
The opening of the curtain allowed the sun's warm rays to sneak in and cast themselves upon my face which started feeling heated. I scrunched my face and mumbled in my sleepy eyes, "Raghav, draw the curtains yaar."
When I didn't hear any movement or reply I peeked my one eye open and looked to the side finding the bed empty. I rubbed my hand over his side to find it cold so he has been awake for a while now.
I was staring at the sunlight peeking through the windows when my eyes widened as I realised that today Aditya and Chandini's engagement is there. I quickly got up and went to freshen myself.
After bathing, I got dressed in a powder blue sari and applying my sindoor, I left for cooking breakfast.
It was still 7:30 a.m. hence everyone was not awake. Baba sa would be awake around 8 and he would have breakfast around 9 a.m., since he is retired so he has cut a leash on his strict and disciplined life now as Raghav had once informed me about the same.
