So, you wanna start a war?
             In the age of icons?
     So, you wanna be immortal?
With a loaded gun?

So, you wanna start a war?

Sail among liars
Blame the deniers
If history is dead and gone

Then how did we get here, my God?

Start A War by Klergy and Valerie Boussard

After Adi's Haldi  ceremony I was tired. But today I was supposed to meet with Mr. Nakul Sherawat, the guiding counsel on the case. The meeting had been arranged by Jaan and I was a bit nervous to meet him because Jaan had said that he was the leading criminal lawyer of the country who specialised in homicide and rape cases.

(Homicide - murder)

We headed towards my office where he was waiting for us. I took Jaan's hand in mine and clasped it. She looked up at me and gave a reassuring smile, caressing her thumb at the back of my palm she muttered, "Remember, Raghav. We all stand by you, especially me, hmm?"

I tilted my head in left to see the profile of her properly, she just gets prettier every moment I look at her. Its like her soul knows that I am admiring her and the moment I look at her, she  shines brighter like the North Star. Whenever you look at the star, it shines brighter. Hence she is the North Star, but a golden one not a silver one.

Knocking at the door, we entered. The man in the question who was reading a magazine, whipped his head in our direction and stood up from the couch. High cheek bones with a squared jaw, raven black hair jelled back, dark brown eyes sharp like a sword squinted when his eyes met mine and then his eyes lightened when he looked at my side.

My jaw clenched when I saw a slight smile lightening his face when he looked at my wife. He might be somewhere in his mid thirties. His posture straight like a muscle wall because he was one, even in his white button down shirt I could see his sculpted shoulders and bulging muscles.

My wife was the first one to move in his direction and she greeted him ,"How are you, sir?"

I furrowed my brows at the honorifics. Sir?

"Aye, Janaki don't call me sir. I was your senior not your professor." he chuckled and forwarded his hand towards her which I tell you is because, she was the one who forwarded her hand first.

Just as they were about to shake hands, I cleared my throat and his attention shifted to me. Grabbing the opportunity, I quickly shook my hand with his before he could with Janaki.

I vigorously shook his hand and tightened my grip on his, to which he maintained a poker face. From my peripheral vision, I found Janaki's eyes fixed on the hand shake. Seemingly getting a whiff of the tension between us, she spoke,"Gentlemen, let's first sit and discuss."

All three of us settled on the couch with Janaki by my side and Nakul facing me.

"What would you like to have, Mr. Nakul? Tea, coffee, wine, scotch?" I asked him.
