The final buzzer echoed through the gym, signaling the end of basketball practice.
Taehyung dribbled the ball a few times before shooting a three-pointer, sealing the practice on a high note.
"All right, pack up everyone." Taehyung announced to his team with a grin as he caught a towel thrown at him.
"Are you lacking practice for the scouts? You seem to be getting lazier, Captain." Carter, another member and failed captaincy contender called him out from the court.
Taehyung rolled his eyes, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "Don't start, Carter. We had a good practice; let's keep it that way."
"You know, Taehyung, I heard Rosé, is quite the distraction. Maybe that's why you're so good on the court. Same house, same floor....is it the same room too?" Carter grinned, egging him on further despite his warning.
"Back off, Carter. Rosé is none of your business." Taehyung spun around at the sound of her name immediately, a glare set on his features.
Carter chuckled, leaning in. "Step-sister, huh? Bet she's got you wrapped around her little finger. Wonder if she's got any other moves that distract you."
"You're crossing the line, Carter." Taehyung warned once more, almost losing his cool as he stepped towards the guy.
Carter raised an eyebrow, his smirk widening. "What's the matter, Captain? I don't blame you though. She's hot, and well a step sister isn't a real sister anyways. I would pay for a night with a girl like her. You get her for free. "
Without warning, Taehyung swung a punch at Carter, the impact landing squarely on his jaw.
The gym fell into a stunned silence as Carter staggered back, a hand on his jaw as he incredulously stared at Taehyung.
"You've got a temper, Captain," Carter sneered, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "Maybe you should learn to control it."
"You keep my sister's name out your fucking mouth, dickhead." Taehyung seethed before Carter scoffed and lunged for him.
The fight erupted into chaos as they grappled on the court, exchanging blows as the others in the room debated on interfering or letting it play out.
"You think you're better than me?" Carter drawled as he threw a punch at Taehyung.
"I don't think, I know." Responded, dodging the hit before delivering one of his own.
Their movements were a blur of aggression, the sound of fists connecting reverberating through the gym.
The gym echoed with the grunts and groans of the two.
Just as Taehyung seemed to gain the upper hand, a voice rang out over the chaos. "Coach is coming!"
Startled, both of them paused, glancing around to see a teammate sprinting towards them.
Taehyung scoffed, not having the patience to explain the entire debacle to his coach.
