As dawn approached, the world outside Jennie's window slowly brightened, a stark contrast to the stormy night that had just passed.
Jennie stirred first, the early morning light casting a soft glow across the room and illuminating Taehyung's face.
He was still asleep, his features relaxed, a serene expression befalling him. The moment gave her an odd sense of déjà vu.
She couldn't help but trace the lines of his face with her fingertips, marveling at how someone could bring her so much peace yet ignite such a storm within her.
The events of the previous night replayed in her mind, each moment etching itself deeper into her heart.
She had exposed her vulnerabilities, her fears, and in return, Taehyung had done the same.
The thought made her heart swell; they were truly in this together, navigating their relationship with an openness she had never dared to explore before.
As if sensing her gaze, Taehyung's eyes fluttered open, meeting hers with a sleepy smile.
"Good morning beautiful." he murmured, his voice rough with sleep.
"morning," Jennie replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
The simplicity of the moment felt like a quiet reassurance that they were on the right path.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked, his hand finding hers under the blanket as he used his free arm to nudge her closer, his head burying into the crook of her neck while he breathed deeply.
"Better than I have in a long time," Jennie confessed. "You?"
"The best," he said, placing a soft kiss to her neck. "Knowing you're here with me, that we're okay... it feels good."
They lay in silence for a moment, simply basking in each other's presence.
"We should probably get up," she said reluctantly, not wanting to break the spell of the moment.
"In a bit," Taehyung replied, his grip on her tightening slightly. "Let's just stay like this for a little longer. The world can wait."
Jennie nodded, her heart agreeing with every word before her eyes caught wind of the clock.
"We've got school, though. Can't let last night's drama make us late." She said, stretching slightly.
"Fine, but only because I can't wait to show off that I got the most amazing girl by my side." Taehyung groaned playfully, sitting up.
"Get ready, or I'm leaving without you." Jennie laughed, throwing a pillow at him.
After a quick shower and change, they were ready, heading downstairs to the kitchen where they'd meet the others.
