"Good game." Taehyung smiled one last time on his way out of the arena, exchanging a quick high-five with a player from the opposing team.
"So...we going to shake shack or something fancier?" Jimin asked from beside him, tapping away on his phone as the doors to the arena clanged shut behind them.
"Actually..." Taehyung began, tightening the strap of his duffel over his shoulder as the pair approached their respective cars in parking.
"I think I have plans." He answered rather cryptically as Jimin paused, tucking his phone away as he gave Taehyung a pointed look.
"Plans.." he trailed off, the suspicion in his tone widely evident.
"Yes, plans. Busy." The latter attempted to shrug off as he opened the back door to his car, tossing his duffel inside.
"With who? And what even are these plans, exactly?" Jimin interrogated with a teasing glance, knowing exactly where this was going yet not letting him get off the hook.
"Why do you care." Taehyung groaned at his best friend as he shut the back door again.
"Because, I'm your best friend, and I'm entailed to know." Jimin smiled, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Just like I'm entailed to know what's going on between you and my sister?" The latter countered with a risen eyebrow.
A moment of silence passed between the two as they stared one another down.
"Okay. Goodbye then." Jimin nodded, turning away with a backwards wave as Taehyung lightly chuckled, stepping into the drivers seat of his car instead.
He was on his way to the American Ballet Theatre to pick up both Rosé and Jennie.
The drive was a welcome moment of calm, a chance to collect his thoughts before facing whatever he and Jennie had discussed around 3 hours ago.
Upon arriving, he found Rosé rehearsing in her usual studio room. However, when he looked around for Jennie, she was nowhere to be found amongst the rest of the girls who were twirling around in their coordinated lavender attire.
Instead of waiting around, he found himself venturing further into the building, passing by the male classes, junior classes, and empty studio rooms.
Finally, he reached studio 12-A, facing away from the sparsely transparent door and towards the mirrors.
She was training privately with Ms. Girard, the company's notoriously strict ballet mistress known for her demanding coaching style.
Even he had heard of the woman from his sister's post-rehearsal rants that took place at almost every dinner.
From his vantage point outside the studio, Taehyung could see Ms. Girard pushing Jennie relentlessly, her sharp commands echoing through the room.
It was clear that Jennie was being groomed to become the next principal dancer of the company.
