Under the soft glow of her vanity mirror, Jennie brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, her fingers trembling slightly with anticipation.
Tonight was the Hamptons Charity Gala, a night where the local elite gathered under the stars and shimmering lights, all for a good cause.
The Hamptons Charity Gala wasn't just any event; it was the highlight event of the local community's social calendar.
Rosé was beside her, laughter filling the room as they shared a lipstick, the air rich with the scent of jasmine and excitement.
"Okay, serious question, Rosé. The silver dress makes me feel like a star, but the blue one is more... chill. What do you think?" Jennie held up both dresses against her, the silver one shimmering like moonlight, the blue one a calm ocean at midnight.
"Silver, without a doubt." The latter asserted, nodding once more in confirmation before turning back to the mirror.
"Do you think this color is too bold?" She asked, holding up a shade of red that was as daring as it was elegant.
"There's no such thing as too bold for the Hamptons Gala," Jennie reassured her, a smile playing on her lips.
"Besides, you'll outshine everyone there." She smiled, shooting a faux flirtatious wink.
"Oh please. Taehyung, just like practically everyone, won't be able to take his eyes off you." Rosé waved her off, leaning against the vanity momentarily to take in her friend who was fixing her earring.
"You think so? I just hope I don't trip and fall on my face in front of everyone." Jennie chuckled, a blush creeping up her cheeks at the mention of Taehyung, a common occurrence lately.
"You won't. And even if you do, Taehyung will be there to catch you," Rosé teased, her voice warm before she abruptly cringed.
"Okay, ew. Supportive time over, I cant with my brother." She muttered, sarcastically pretending to gag.
Their mutual teasing and banter only continued until a long while later, when it was finally time to go down.
Taehyung and Jimin waited in the foyer, both looking dashing in their suits, the anticipation clear on their faces.
Descending the staircase, Jennie caught the first glimpse of Taehyung, his jaw practically dropping at the sight of her.
Dressed in a gown that flowed like liquid silver, Jennie was the epitome of grace, the fabric hugging her form in all the right places.
"Jen, you look... amazing. Like, seriously," Taehyung stumbled over his words, his usual suaveness replaced with an endearing vulnerability.
Rosé, equally stunning in a gown of blush pink, exchanged a look with Jimin, both sharing a silent moment of triumph.
