"Taehyung, are you sure we added the right amount of sulfuric acid?" Jennie peered into the beaker, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Well, I might have added a little extra for that extra kick, you know?" Taehyung grinned as he leant forward on his elbows.

"This experiment isn't a cooking show. We need precise measurements otherwise the entire thing will fail and blow up in our faces." Jennie muttered as she rolled her eyes, adjusting the collar of his lab coat.

"Chemistry is all about experimenting, right? I doubt it would fail, we'll just create something knew." He chuckled, tilting his head almost flirtatiously as she simply sighed.

"We need to follow the instructions. We can't turn this into a science fiction plot. Otherwise we'd both get an F, and I can't ruin my clean sweep." She told him rather pointedly.

"You don't even need a clean sweep. You're training to be a dancer!" He pointed out, shoving at her shoulder lightly.

"After my ballerina career, I'm taking on my dad's company. Besides, I can do both." She defended, crossing her arms as he relented, letting her have this one.

As they continued their experiment, Taehyung couldn't resist poking Jennie with a pipette. "Guess what? I think I just discovered a new element: Taehyungium."

Turning over, she saw what seemed to be a pebble from one of the indoor plant pots coated in acetone and stuck in a conical flask.

Jennie laughed, pushing his hand away. "Very funny. Stick to the procedure, or we'll both end up with detention."

As they mixed substances, Taehyung accidentally spilled a few drops on the table. "Shit. Am I going to burn the school down? Doesn't sound too bad now that I think about it...."

"It's not an explosion, it's just a mess. We need to clean this up." The latter sighed, grabbing a paper towel.

"Cleaning up is part of the learning experience, right?" He remarked, leaning back into his stool.

"So shut up and do it." She scoffed while hitting him with the back of her hand. "The only thing you're learning is how to be a nuisance in the lab."

"Everything okay, Jennie, Taehyung?" Their chemistry teacher approached the flailing pair with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, Mrs. Rodriguez, just a minor spill. We've got it under control." She assured as their teacher took a long look at their table.

"You should get each other under control first. I did not sign up for a romance movie." She told the pair pointedly who stared back at her with wide eyes.

That was until Taehyung burst out laughing as Jennie sputtered to find her words.

"Wait-what? That's not...no that's not what's going on! We're not anything! Well we're people but not anything toget-you get my point!" She desperately tried to explain as Taehyung's growing laughter didn't help anything.
