ARO HAD LOST TRACK OF TIME.
Each day had seemed to pass so slowly it ached in his bones, each of the Kings felt the pain within them, the excruciating tug that the bond emitted.
Each day had seemed like hell on Earth.
Each day seemed the same.
Ever since they had found Katherine, he had always felt a surge of responsibility to ensure that she would never be endangered again, yet he failed her when she was forced to use her gift to protect herself and almost died as a result, he failed her when she was taken from them.
Her life seemed to constantly be in danger. It was like the nightmares never ended, as if fate never wished for them to know peace.

'GOOD MORNING, CARA MIA.' Aro smiled down at the woman in his arms as she woke up, her eyes twinkling as her vision cleared, her smile unmissable as she pressed herself further into him, 'What is it, Carissima?' He returned her bright grin as he pressed his lips against her forehead.

'I'm tiredd.' Katherine groaned as he placed his hands on her cheek, looking into her dark brown eyes, 'Do we have to get up?' She looked at him, trying her best to use her doe eyes against him.
Aro tried his hardest to resist, knowing that he would most likely get into trouble with his brothers for missing the trial, yet he knew that he wouldn't be able to say no to her, 'Fine.' He sighed, bringing her closer to him as their lips met before they lay beside one another again, 'We can stay here...'
