THE PAST MONTH AND A HALF COULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT. Katherine found that each one was such a place of heaven that she felt as if she were dreaming. She had spent countless hours with her mates, they had taken her to several places after she had mastered controlling herself, countless dates had been had.

As of now she had been admiring how her skin now glittered beneath the sunlight that poured in through the windows, the sparkle wasn't harsh; it was so beautiful, it reminded her of the first time she had seen the reaction vampire's skin had to sunlight, she was in awe.

The jet glided through the sky as they were set to arrive to an area of the United States called Seattle, Katherine had been sent along with Timothee and the rest of the elite guard, to do a routinely check-up on the Olympic Coven, it would be her first time meeting with them, so Timothee insisted upon joining her, despite the three Kings arguments against it as it would be dangerous to take the entirety of the elites and they should just go instead, but Katherine knew they had much to catch up on so she insisted that they should do that whilst she handled this.

A string of words spoken by the pilot erupted through the speakers, announcing that they would soon be landing. Katherine didn't pay much attention, she had been anxious during the majority of the flight, it was her second ever time flying, and the first time since escaping that creature.

The drive to the place they would be staying at was a blur as the rain hammered against the windows, like bullets against the most sturdy shield. The sight of the estate they had now pulled up to broke Katherine out of her trance.

Luscious trees protected the sombre stone building, it was certainly less dramatic than the castle in Volterra, and it was much more humble in comparison, though still extremely extravagant, not quite as small as some of the larger average homes she had seen.

Repair work must've been done to the windows, she noticed. The glass seemed abnormally new for such a seemingly old building, as she entered, she couldn't help but notice that small dents and marks were still noticeable in the walls, despite the fact that they were heavily painted over.

The rooms were all grand, she had to admit, many in the small town would kill to just have some of this furniture, or, at least, the money necessary to buy things similar.

Rain still heavily fell, though Katherine was thankful for the gloomy weather, it meant that they were able to move throughout the town without being suspicious with their glittering skin and the rest that followed.

As she sat upon her bed, sighing in relief of it's comfort, Timothee poked his head through the door, it seemed that she didn't pick up on his several attempts of knocking on her door. 'Tu te sens bien, ensoleillé?' His voice was soft, he knew that she was anxious on the plane, it was written all over her face.
