THEIR EYES FLUTTERED OPEN, the bright light feeling foreign as the girl's slumber released it's dark hold on her body. The air was warm, but not the nice warm feeling, like your body was overheated, as though it had been placed in an kiln for 20 days. That's what Katherine felt. She felt somebody pouring a gentle stream of water down her throat as when she attempted speech, she could not do so.

Jack and Monte had arrived in Melbourne the week before, but the article released had caused them to be tracked by police, the consequence of this was that they trekked in the desert till Perth was in sight.

As Katherine's eyes adjusted, she noticed the bright pink queen-sized bed that she was sprawled across, the walls were also a shockingly bright shade of the colour. There was no way this place was even real?

'Where are we?' Katherine asked the man in the corner, whom she assumed to be Monte

'Dunno, some nice pad out in Perth.' Monte paused, standing up and pacing, as if trying to recall information 'Er- Belongs to some brute called Mr Summers and his chick, the Mrs. Some rich all-American family that come here for vacation, I guess.' He flopped back onto his chair, a huff of relief passing past his lips

'Mm, and you broke in?' The girl on the bed smirked, a mischievous tone lacing her innocent voice 'I like it.' She grinned, sitting up, just some normal rest and some proper nutrients had satisfied her, allowing her to break free from her shell

'So your not some innocent barbie girl? You don't got a problem with this?' His voice gruff with the lack of water in his body, he couldn't be bothered to get himself some water, settling to suffer in the chair

'As long as you don't, I suppose.' She smiled at him, walked to the door, quickly turning to face him 'You need a drink, I wanna explore and if I find the kitchen I would like to make sure your not dehydrated anymore.'

'Thanks Doll.' Monte gave her a quick smile, pulling his inky baseball cap over his eyes, using his toned arms, littered with tattoos.

As Katherine left the room, the noticed how grand the home really was. She hadn't ever been in such an expensive place, the gold accents on the pristine white tiled marble of the walls were shining in the sunlight that poured through the spotless windows, the planked gala oak floors felt smooth underneath her socks, she lifting one white sock up, seeing it hadn't a piece of dirt beneath it.

'You enjoying it here?' A voice came from down the hallway, smooth mixed with a satisfied tone as she heard a glass being set down upon a table.

'Mm, don't you think they'll be coming back soon? They might want a Christmas holiday.'

'Pretty sure they'd like the snow instead of the blistering Aussie heat though, eh?' A man came into Katherine's line of vision, leaning confidently against the doorframe, his arms crossed, the door was most likely leading to what she assumed to be the living room.

'You'd be surprised, where I'm from they crave the sunlight to glow onto their skin, England's pretty miserable in terms of weather.' Katherine smiled charmingly

His eyes seemed to brighten, as if he was thinking of something he was fond of, 'So your one of them, huh? You're a Brit?'

'Born, yes. Heritage-wise, no.' Her smile half-dropped, leaving her eyes to wander to the doors surrounding her

'Alright, I'm guessing you were actually here to look around?' Jack smiled, taking the hint she didn't want to talk about it.

THE KINGS WALKED THROUGH THE STREETS, their skin covered as they didn't want to expose themselves in the sun that beat down on them, and break their most important law. Although they did have exceptions to certain laws, the exposure law was one even they had to follow.

'This is detestable, I do not believe that she would still be here Aro; she would be somewhere else in the country by now.' Caius grumbled, his signature mark of anger coming into play as it intertwined with his walk.

'Have you been too blind to see we are leaving Sydney? I have asked for Demetri to meet us outside of the city and drive us to the other main cities, including Perth and Melbourne, in that order.' Aro rolled his eyes as he spoke with no glance to Caius whatsoever, his eyes stuck on the black vehicle parked on the side of the road in front of them.

'She's in Perth.' Marcus came to a halt, his bond sight doing something it had never done before, showing a pinpointed end of the fabulous golden ribbon that connected them to her

'What?!' Caius's head snapped to Marcus's direction, he was immediately in the car, shouting mindless words at Demetri as he demanded him to make way to Perth

Aro remained silent throughout the entire ordeal, unbelieving of the fact that they had somewhere specific to look, yet the thought that she was in danger on the other side of the country was scratching at his thoughts, tearing through them like pencils persistently pressing against the same spot of paper.

The air grew warm in contrast to the coolness of their skins, time had shifted and they were now travelling through the sandy Great Victorian Desert, the vehicle riding up and down the jagged, abiotic, rough landscape as they charged the car towards the destination of Perth.

5:00AM

A KNOCK ON THE DOOR JOLTED THE MAN AWAKE, as Monte was sprawled out on the couch, a bang on the door jostled the poor male off of the couch he lay upon moments ago. He heard a feminine voice outside of the front door, shouting words that were muffled by the wooden frame.

'You know they sent me to go because you are too incompetent!' The girl outside seemed to say, the door flying open, bashing against the wall as no such doorstopper existed there. Her seemingly annoyed face turned into one of pure shock as her jaw dropped at the sight of the man on her couch, it hung there as Monte backed away, not turning his back on the girl; he desperately needed to tell his pissy-goody-two-shoes-who-looks-constipated older brother and the mysterious-literal-goddess-like-hot-girl-with-a-dollface out on the deck, that the owners were here, at least one of them anyway.

'Who the hell are you?!' The girl who burst in seemed to scream in his face, her eyes narrowing as she composed herself of the shock

'Howdy partner.' Monte rushed out before he pegged it outside onto the deck where they slept calmly on the sunbeds that they had fallen asleep upon, the people in question stared up at him as he screamed inaudibly, they eyes still seemed so full of sleep, they looked at him questioningly before he hauled the girl onto his back and dragged his brother by the arm until they were hiding beneath the decking that was elevated, so that luckily there was a gap beneath it.

Footsteps could be heard from above them as multiple male voices argued angrily.
