AFTER THE FIRST DANCE OF THE KINGS AND THEIR QUEEN, they were soon swarmed with congratulations from those invited, which had significantly grown in comparison to those who had witnessed the ceremony.
Unfortunately for her, the Kings had been torn away from her by awaiting old friends that couldn't wait to speak to them and update them about their lives and whatever else the vampires spoke about.
She decided to step away from the dancing crowds, and instead chose to move in search of a guest she properly knew, she hadn't seen anyone like that since the ceremony. The halls outside of the room were still as populated, she frowned, still not seeing anyone that she knew.
Katherine ventured further, finding herself in the wine cellar that reminded her of the time she had spent with Chelsea down in this vast space during the previous event held at the castle.
A harsh smell spiked at her nose, her brow furrowed as she recognised it as the very blood she had grown so accustomed to; the scent human blood rippled through the air. Her footsteps had never carried her so quickly, even in her heels, but what she saw after she came to the scene was not the thing she had been expecting upon this very night.
A plethora of shards lay discarded upon the stone ground, glittering like diamonds in the small light provided. Her hands found her chest as she tried to console herself upon what she saw as the memories came flooding into her mind as a result of what her eyes had seen.
Feeling violently ill, like vomit was oozing up her throat, she dashed out of the cellar, her eyes blown wide as she blindly scrambled through the halls, desperately clawing people out of the way as she tried to find someone, anyone, that she knew.
However, it seems other plans were willing to take place as she was unable to fight her way past a vampire who seemed exceptionally insistent with the idea of having a conversation with her. Her familiar hair identical to butterscotch, entangled within the updo were several accessories hanging from it, her dress was not icy blue this time around, only a scaly green instead.
She tried to focus upon the colours she saw around her, trying to calm her mind from what she had just seen, but there were too many, too many colours, too many people, too many problems, not enough space.
'Oh, I must say that the ceremony was indeed most charming, were you the planner of all this beauty?' the woman with her ridiculous updo enquired.
'Not exactly just me, now if you'd excus-' Katherine tried to find her way out of the crowd that seemed to be inching closer by the second.
'So you left it all up to them?' she pouted, her eyes narrowing slightly, but enough that she half expected her to begin hissing.
Katherine shook her head in a hurry, her eyes darting around the room practically violently now, her desperation clawing at her from the inside to be away from the mass crowds and into the safety of a familiar group.
