I kept lying there; unable to get myself out of bed. This situation was way too bizarre and I had nothing to do besides getting lost in my own thoughts. In all honesty, I felt weak. Not being able to leave this hellspawn, I really felt useless. I hated feeling that way, and I knew nothing I can do will let me out of here, that much is obvious.
Once again, I heard knocking at my door. I had doubts that it was Jax this time as I opened it. Luckily, it wasn't. It seemed to be Ragatha.
"Hey, Daphne! How are you doing? Is Jax being mean to you, or did you guys get along when he was giving you a tour? You seemed quite frightened, so I thought...you would like some reassurance?"
"I'm fine, but thanks for the offer. I just need time to rest mentally...I'm exhausted."
"And that makes sense! Since this is a new situation for you, we're all supportive of what you decide to do. Though, Caine might force us to do our show tomorrow. But I hope that won't be a bother to you."
"I hope not. But I doubt it. I just need rest...even if we don't actually get restful sleep in this world. At least being lost in my own mind is better than nothing."
"That's the spirit, Daphne! But...how was Jax when he showed you around."
"A trickster. I assume he is always naturally sarcastic and pretends to be...oblivious?" I didn't know if "oblivious" was the correct term, but I stuck with it.
"Yep. That's how he naturally is. You just got to get used to it. Just don't get too comfortable around him...he isn't the most trustful person."
"Okay, I will keep that in mind."
"Heck, he even uses your own fears against you. Once he put centipedes in my room, which is my only fear! I'm still traumatized by that. And Jax didn't even seem to care! He's unbearable to be around sometimes."
"Well...I won't get too comfy around him."
"Good. Since Jax does seem...mildly interested in hanging out with you. I don't know why, but maybe it's because you're new and he wants to see if you're fun to hang out with or not, probably."
"I've noticed. I don't understand why, though."
"Me either. But maybe we will at some point. I'll leave you alone, okay? If you ever need a supportive hand, I'll be in my room. See you later, Daphne!" Ragatha waves as she closes the door behind her.
I take a deep breath as I look around my room aimlessly. I decide to just draw a picture, hoping to get my mind off of everything.
I grabbed a piece of paper, pencil, and started drawing. I didn't know what to draw, and whether I should try my best or not, but I used my fair judgement as I started drawing.
I decided to draw myself and all of the others from this digital circus in one paper. Just like a group photo, except it's my drawing. I used the side of my pencil to shade lightly where there needs to be shading.
I hummed a tune to myself as I continued drawing. I didn't know how long I've been drawing for, but I knew it's been a couple hours. Eventually the drawing was finished. I grabbed the paper and placed my pencil on my bedside table as I hung my drawing up with a tack. I take a deep breath as I plopped on my bed.
I knew the next day was probably approaching, and Caine was going to have to do our little "show" adventures. I was nervous, but I hoped it wouldn't be as bad as my mind is making it out to be.
While thinking to myself, there was an assertive knock at my door.

Well, I hope you liked this chapter!! I tried my best with this one, even though the chapter barely had anything new or exciting in it. Though, if you do have suggestions, please let me know! Since soon I might be running out of ideas. But for the time being, I think I have a plan for the next chapter. Also I hope you guys will have a wonderful rest of your day! <3
