"Taylor, what's going on?" I heard Tree speak into the phone. I had just told Kiara that we should go to bed as it was pretty late and it had been a long day for both of us. Of course, she complied straight away. She's a good kid. She's so thoughtful and whoever gets to foster her and whoever has fostered her should consider themselves lucky. She doesn't seem like the type of kid to backchat or be any trouble - she just does as you say and doesn't even give her opinion. Which is also kind of concerning to me. Obviously i've never had kids and haven't even thought of having them any time soon, but i'm sure that a lot of them don't care what adults say to them. A lot of kids do as they please and if they are told to do something, there's usually some form of input coming from them. Even if it's just something as simple as 'i'll do it later' or 'just five more minutes.'

But not Kiara. It's like she's scared of saying what she thinks. I might have only met her in person today, but i'm honestly uneasy with the idea of taking her back to that group home. She is being bullied there and I fear that that place is the reason why she's been so worried and nervous this entire night. Yes, pretty much every fan in my house tonight was nervous about meeting me, I don't blame them for that. Who wouldn't be nervous to meet their favourite singer? But, Kiara's nerves tonight were another level. Her hand had been held onto a stove. That's not normal behaviour; it's terrifying to me that those kids could get away with doing these things to her and I can't imagine what else happens behind closed doors. And this is why I don't feel happy leaving one of my fans in that type of environment. One of my top priorities has always been, and always will be, the well-being of my fans. No matter where they are.

Yes, she told me that the regular adults in charge are away right now, meaning they weren't there when she was burned. But this shouldn't be happening at all. Just because there's some random woman who couldn't give a shit about these kids is looking after them right now, it shouldn't give those bullies a free pass to hurt another kid. And the fact that the woman in charge right now is probably clueless towards Kiara's burn says a lot.

From what i've noticed, and from the pieces i've put together, it seems like the kids at the group home are being neglected. Maybe not when the regular carers are there, but right now, from the way Kiara is being treated there, it could very well be argued that these kids are being neglected. This woman tries to forbid Kiara from coming to see me for a day when the regular adults in charge said it was okay, yet she can't seem to notice the fact that the same girl is getting her hand held down on a stove? Would she even care if she did know about it?
