KIARA Taylor Swift touched my shoulder. She looked into my eyes. She smiled at me. All of these thoughts were clouding my mind, making it difficult for me to focus on what Taylor was saying. My breathing was still shaky and I had tears stains on my cheeks. Everyone was now quiet, paying close attention to what Taylor was telling us about her new album.
"And, before I start showing you guys the album, I just want to say thank you. I want to say thank you to every single one of you that is here in this room with me right now. I don't know where I would be without you. You are the reason that I am still able to make music and I can not even say how grateful I am for you guys. So, thank you so, so, so much for supporting me through everything. I love you guys more than you could ever know." Taylor explained with a warm smile, drawing a heart into the air with her pointer fingers. The crowd then started clapping and cheering for Taylor whilst some people even made heart hand gestures.
I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips due to her words. My eyes were still filled with tears. I can't believe this is actually happening. I can't believe i'm here. I'm sat in my idol's living room. She is in the same room as me. She is right in front of my eyes.
"So, who wants to hear the first song?" She questioned loudly, in an excited tone. The crowd immediately responded with thrilled shouts and words like 'yes!'

Taylor had now shown us the album cover as well as the first half of the track-list. So far, my favourite song was 'I Did Something Bad.' It was the song that stood out the most to me, but she had honestly not written a single bad song for this album.
"Alright, I think we should take a quick break before I show you the rest of the album. We've been sat down for quite a while! Feel free to have a look around, I'm just gonna grab something from the kitchen that I think you guys will like. I'll be back in a second!" Taylor said with a grin before standing from her chair and disappearing into the kitchen.
As soon as Taylor was out of sight, people started talking to each other. I just stayed where I was on the couch, awkwardly glancing around the room. Something I noticed was how Lila and the people she was talking with, kept glancing over at me occasionally.
Even though the room was quite loud, they weren't sat that far away from me, and I heard Lila bringing up words like 'orphanage' and 'foster kid.' One thing I could never understand was why so many people cared about the fact that I had no parents. People at school always seem to have a problem with me because of it, and now, Lila just hasn't spoken to me for the entirety of the secret session. Obviously I didn't care that she was talking to other swifties. If I had a lot of confidence, I would probably try and make friends with people too. The thing that has bothered me was the fact that it's obvious they're talking about me. I genuinely thought that this would be the one place where I wouldn't have to worry about my fucked up life. This was supposed to be my escape from that reality.
